... Our DIS group was big. We had over 60 adults came to our 4th of July meet in the Roy Suite-

I thought that picture looked familiar. My friend Ron and I were on that cruise in July!

I wanted to stop by the thread and say "hello" to everyone. My name is David, My wife (Monica) and I will be joining the group for this cruise. We booked it rather late in the game and it looks like we have already missed a bunch!

We hope to learn a little about each of you prior to the cruise. Please let us know if we can help in any way...

Thanks,
David and Monica

David and Monica welcome, Fav Auntie good for you the more the merrier.

Maybe we can get to list all the names, ages and cabins. :lmao:

Well I thought I would stop in and say hello. I am off to bed. Catch you all tomorrow.

Weekly chat session...Tuesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern on AOL. Be sure to let us know your screen name so you can join in. This is quite a group!!!!

I bet you are on a better track with the ENT doc than the other guy.....besides, the problem is in her sinus/ drainage issue so stick to him for now....and HE can always order the CT scan down the road anyway! There is some value in a CT scan if there is persistant pus/infection that won't drain out of the sinuses. He is looking for an abscess. I understand your issue with your DD being "put under". Perhaps when she was "put under" for other things, it was true general anestesia and I can tell you from experince that a CT scan does not require that much sedation! Can you just ask for some (oral) chloral hydrate be given about an hour prior to the procedure? Simple stuff that wears off easily. How about some oral Versed? She should NOT need IV access and heavy duty drugs! I take kids to CT scans all the time!

Hope this helps and that she gets better soon!

Our family isn't celebrating any birthdays on this cruise, but we will be happy to crash your party! :teeth: I would hate to miss a party! :cool1:
As if you ever needed an excuse....I think I will have an event, too!

I've been thinking about our AOL chat and how we can keep from missing people who are on line and want to chat. I don't want to have to put everyone on my buddy list, but maybe if we all put a couple of the chatters on our own buddy lists, we could at least see that they are on line and send them an IM asking to be invited to chat.

Pretty much every week chichihoney, ibouncetoo, Hannosmom are on, and so is GrayFal when she's not off galavanting around the globe! If you PM us we can give you our AOL name and you can add us to your buddy list. If we keep having trouble with this, we can always use the DIS chat sub-rooms...just know that any DISer could pop in.

Also, a few months ago someone had mentioned a group site or Yahoo group kind of thing were we could exchange information that we may not want posted on the internet. Any thoughts?

The reason I sent out the list of AOL names was so that you can add them to your buddy list.
To do this,
Go to "My AIM"
then "Setup Buddy List"
that opens up another window
then click "Add Group"
and then type in "DIS DD" (that is what I call mine!)
then click "add Buddy"
and type in your DIS Buddy's name....
repeat "add Buddy" for each name.....

When you don't want to look at the DIS DD list on your AIM, just click it and it will 'shrink' down.

When it is chat time, just log into your IM and see who else is online...and ask that person for an invite in...as you say, different weeks different people will be on.....I can't invite you to join if I don't 'see you' online and the only way for me to 'see you' is if you are on my buddy list....it is just how it works.

I have a list of the IM names somewhere....if anyone is not on the list or wants the list...please PM me.

Thanks

:welcome: It is really exciting to see how many DISer will be cruising on Nov11.
It is going to be a beautiful day here in sunny florida. Highs around mid 80s and all soooo sunny. To all of you in the cold wet snowy north I want to send some :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: your way.
Have a great day

Michelle, you are making me jealous. I wish we were having some nice warm weather.

Pat.. welcome back, once again.

Do the chats have to be on Tuesday? If so, can we do more than one a week?

I'm always up for a bit of chatting :hyper2: My only appointment TV is Wed at 8PM for LOST!

Time to leave the office and head on home!

Dave and Monica... Welcome! Glad to hear you guys are joining us! I'm looking forward to meeting Monica, and hearing about all the fun trips you guys have been taking. Any DCL cruises since July? How was New York? Did you guys ever get an AZ post cruise meet scheduled?

Do you think we can make it to page 100 by Monday? We really go in spurts.

Do you guys realize that 8 months from now some of us will be stressing over what we are going to pack? Some will wait to the day before to pack and then there are those of us that are stressing already. Come on you OCPD folks, you know who you are.

I am packing my house up o sell and have already packed cruise clothes and stuff seperately. So I can officially say that I am packed. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well I am off to Clemson for the weekend. I will catch up with you all next week. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

You're moving???????

Well I can certainly do my part......

Let's see...this week has gone pretty good. Have been really busy.

Still trying to coordinate everyone for the cruise. Haven't received permission for Jeff's youngest to go and it looks as if Jeff might be sitting in front of the judge in order to get her to go...isn't divorce grand! His other kids are excited (the last I knew). It's about time for a "family meeting" to review plans and see what everyone is thinking excursion wise, clothing, etc. I'm hoping that my mentor :hippie: has trained me well enough to coordinate this group!

Wedding plans are going good. Just took Heather to double check her size and when she tried on the dress she tried on the first time....it wouldn't zip and allow her to breathe. Talk about heart failure. Needless to say we have moved her up a few sizes and hopefully all will go well now in that area. All other plans seem to be falling in place.

Jeff and I are now discussing honeymoon. Looking at the 12/08/07 Eastern. Thinking maybe I should go ahead and book now and then look again at pricing when we're onboard in November and cancel/rebook if I can get something better? Kim gave me a Cat 6 price of $3208.40 but my local girl called DCL and got a rate of $3276.40 (including transfers) which would be $3158.40 without the transfers. The local girl has Cat 9 (which Jeff and I really liked) at $2394.40 (includes transfers)...so $2276.40 without the transfers. If we go Cat 9 then we could add on the Romance package.

Okay....let the opinions roll........

Talk to you all later!

Kris we loved our Cat 9, but those balconies sure are nice too... :confused3
Personally, if you're on a tighter budget, it's fun to be able to add on extras. Considering that on a honeymoon cruise you'll likely be in the room more than you would on a family cruise... that kind of makes the room choice become more important

Good luck on getting the "permission" you need for the Nov. cruise. :thumbsup2

Hi again! Monica and I postponed the trip to New York. We want to wait until Tarzan opens in order to go but thanks for asking! Instead, we went on a Disney Cruise for our anniversary. We had a great time and enjoyed the shorter trip just as much as the 7 day. When we came back we had the chance to preview Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom (great attraction).

Without my wife knowing it, I had rented out the Titanic Exhibition in Orlando and flew a couple of friends in to remarry us on the grand staircase. We had a very nice day and it was a complete surprise to Monica.

Sadly, no AZ meet ever took place. I think people are just too busy to get all of our schedules working together. Of course, we are happy to see anyone who may be in the area should they be in town.

We have plenty of Disney cruises coming up and are looking forward to the one in November. Ron is going on the first "Double Dip" cruise in May. We are going on another 3 night in June and then the 10 day in September prior to this one. Is this your first trip since the one in July? Hope everyone is well!

Welcome Dave & Monica! I love it when more experienced cruisers show up. More brains to pick! AND fellow Zonies I gather ::yes:: :welcome: Welcome to all the new folks who have check in....our little family is growing.

Kids, we're nearly to the half-way mark to our 3000 post goal. I have no doubt we'll make it....especiall when it comes time to organize wrist bands, birthday lunches, perhaps group excursions and the like ::yes::

I enjoyed a rare evening out at a cocktail establishment last night in beautiful oldtown Scottsdale. We had a department happy hour(s) celebration now that the Olympics are over. I thought of all the northern double-dippers as we sat on the patio drinking our martinis and exotic carribean style beverages...munching on coconut shrimp and poo-poo platters. I have a bit of a sore throat this morning...someone FORCED me to smoke a cigarette :smokin: YLK! Caving to peer-pressure at my age, can you imagine?! (Don't tell my sister, OK?)

Time to brew some tea see what else is 'brewing' on the DIS. Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks Pat for the great tips on the room today for next year...

Couldn't get what I wanted on the 12/8 Eastern......so I moved us to the 11/10 Eastern and got SVR #7620....yippee

Happy Honeymoon to me, Happy Honeymoon to me, Happy Honeymoon to meee, Happy Honeymoon to me (oh, and I guess Jeff too) :teeth:
