spotdude,

Can you go to Lenscrafters or something and get them within an hour? I've had to do that more then once when my DS broke his...thank god he now wears contacts!

well the squirting has subsided...funny how that happens shortly after the bus has come.

miatamel....I haven't a clue but I wash all the time onboard and they do have hand sanitizer before walking into any restaurant

Thanks but I think she will be all set. When we went down in 2004 for my nieces ( both of them) cheerleading comp. I stepped on my glasses, the day we were leaving I ended up going to Wal-Mart and getting new pair. No les crafters near by. Now to under stand that stories you must under stand, the only time I take my glasses off is when I take a shower. I sleep with them on and everything. I haven't broken a pair of glasses in 15 years. Mt DW yells at me all the time for sleeping with them on. But when you get 3 to 4 hours of sleep a day every second counts. Of course that gets me in trouble with contacts I fell asleep with them in yesterday and my eyes burned for and hour when I got them out.

Well off to bed no plumer today ether I guess. He is tickingme off. I am about to do it my self and just cansle the call.

OK, this really cracked me up this morning!

Now that all the business of getting ready for the trip is done, isn't it funny how the worry sets in? You fret that NOTHING HAPPENS in the next few days to wreck the trip. And I only have two of us to worry about, can't imagine the anxiety with kids too.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone, can't wait to celebrate on the ship. And speaking of celebrating on the ship......anyone else thinking about DIS CELEBRATION LUNCH that hasn't PM'd me their # of people and stateroom number? As of right now I'll be requesting space for about 60 people. You can also call my stateroom (7612) to add or subtract people as necessary :thumbsup2

on this day in history yep all that too, and my parent got married in 1971 and six years later (1977) Jackie was born, and 23 years and one day
(11-8-2000) DD was born. WOW what a busy week. :teeth: ;) :yay:

Happy Birthday Jackie

How could that be possible... I graduated from high school in 1977... hmmm and my sis is older than I am - OH you guys must be thinking she's really only 29 again ... :rotfl: :rotfl2: :teeth: :lmao:

Happy Birthday Jackie:dance3:  :worship: :dancer: :rockband: party: :jumping1: party:

For all the sickness and worries! Fret not my fellow maties - this will be fun filled action packed cruise! I promise!

YIPEE - I called perfect gift and paid for our baskets! And... not as much money as I was worrying about - :jumping1: SEE - EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE OK!

Have a great day folks, I'm late to vote and late to work - but hey, my cruise stuff is getting done!

How are we doing on our count, I forgot to check.

Hey....looks like the DISboards clock is fixed!

THough I'm often not sure WHERE I am.....I always like to know WHEN I am.

.

So, I don't have Disney transportation so I know I don't need to put my tags on at the airport or anything. Do I need to put them on Sat. am before the town car picks them up so when we get to the boat they know where to take them? And my old room number is on there--do I just mark that out and put on my new number?
Trying to finish up the last of the notes, paperwork, etc.
thanks

Good morning all, I have just a few minutes to check the boards then back to trying to remember all the things I keep forgetting. :confused3

Happy Birthday Jackie!!!! :cheer2:

Melanie, I would put the new room # on the tags and put them on before the town car picks you up. The porters are real fast and you don't want to be messing with tags when you could be in the terminal celebrating with the lime green boa people. :) :thumbsup2

Here I was minding my own business and printing my door signs (final copy) and :badpc: the printer goes boom. I have had HP printer for 10 years and I have never had one break. That streak all but came to an end last night. I went to staples and bought the cheapest printer they had. $30 I hope it works it is a Lexmark. I was planning on asking Santa for a new one. Ah well this one is four years old and I do a LOT of printing. I want the one that does 13x 18 or something like that.
OK and that is not even the best part yesterday Becca (my youngest) broke her glasses. YEA. They have a 1 year guarantee but I don’t think we have time to get them fixed. So she is wearing her old glasses and I am with out a nose piece on mine (since I took it off to replace hers.) thank goodness for contacts.
Devin
Tell your DD we said :bday: !!!!!.If your printer doesn't work you could e-mail me you stuff and I will print it for you. Just let me know.

Well good afternoon fellow cruisers. It is amazing how many of us have those annoying problems popping up. I have a terrible tooth ache..went to the dentist this AM and he is sending me for ROOT CANAL!!!!I am a real baby when it comes to dental work and I am down right :scared1: worst part it they can't get me in till Thrusday at 2:00pm. This is crazy.
But I do have some GREAT news . Angies MRI came back normal :cheer2: . As good as that is now we still have no answers, but I am not even going to pusue it untill we get back.
Now everyone plaes get healthy and stay that way!!!
Melanie
I am the Queen worrier. I think of things to worry about that are just CRAZY. That being said I do not pay much mind to all of the Norovirus threads that start. If a cruise ship really has a problem the news jumps all over it. People get sick many places and most things take time to show up.Airplanes are a major issue. But when someone gets sick on the ship they always scream Norwalk. Washing hands if by far the best defense .Also trying to keep the kids from touching everything(esp hand rails) I always carry antibactiral gel and use it often. I think it is pretty much just a gamble someone is bound to get sick but hopefully it isn't any of us!!

What next. I still have the sneezing and runny/stuff nose and now a sore throat. That bad news is my DS just came back from the doctors and has strep :scared1:   Please lets hope that his wife and new baby do not get sick, let alone the rest of us.

I was sick on the last cruise and I want to be healthy and happy on this one. Is that to much to ask! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Hopefully your at work - at least you BETTER be for more reasons than just me being NOSY!!!

First and Foremost --- Happy Birthday Jackie.

Jackie, what Dis Celebration Lunch are you talking about. If it is the one on Thursday count us in.

DS7 was home with the squirts yesterday. I also had a small case of it on Sunday & Monday. Not sure if it is a virus or just nervous stomach from the anxiety and exitement of the cruise. Anyways, he is fine now. I used my Grandmothers remedy for myself and knocked it right out. 2 shots of whiskey. She swore it would kill any stomach virus, bacteria, bug or anything else. Now DS13 has a scratchy throat. Not taking any chances. DW Alison is hauling him to the MD tomorrow morning. She won't let me give him 2 shot of whiskey although he was willing.

a suit case zipper broke (nothing duct tape can't handle - gotta go get it out of another suit case. Gotta remember that for next trip. Always pack the duct tape last.

goodie bags stuff is organized but someone ate a couple of the goodies. Got 5 "not me's" from the supporting cast. I know I counted right. I know I snore and talk in my sleep but I have never eaten in my sleep. Oh well, another trip to the store

a strap on my favorite pair of sandals busted while trying them on. Sheesh, going to have to go get another pair or I'll be stuck with my tigger slippers.

ever try convincing an 8 year old who is a math whiz that 4 pairs of under wear is not enough for an 8 day trip. He went through several mathematical equations trying to convince me. Not to worry, he lost.

We will be leaving in about 52 hours and on the boat in less than 100 hours. Doing the less than 100 hour dance. :woohoo:

Well David, thank you for the remedy. I was trying to use it here at work and I was threatend with the pink slip. I explained it was purely medicinal, but they do not seen to be buying it. I guess I will stick with the dayquil till I get home.

:bday: party: Happy Birthday Jackie. DH's birthday is Friday, our travel day, so we're going to surprise him tonight. I'll have an extra piece of birthday cake for you.

Things are really slowing down here on the boards. It only took me about 20 minutes of reading to catch up, instead of the usual hour. We're winding down now :hourglass .

the printer seems to work fine. it is really slow, but it works. I am all packed except for blak sox. I must have 15 pair of brown ones and no black, and of coource shorts that is a never ending storie. I might just buy some on ship. man I am ready to leave.

My Dh has a similar remedy and it really works. He uses Benedictine(sp?) knocks any bug on its butt. He keeps telling me to rinse my mouth with vodak to kill the tooth ache pain. It funny he doesn't drink at all but uses it strickly for medicinal purposes.
Dee
Hope you're crew is all feeling better. I remember the Dr telling me babies can not get strep throat. I remember being really worried about it when Angelina was a infant and Vito had gotten strp. Not sure if it true but I hope so.Sending some pixiedust: your way.
