Welcome Aboard, QuackAttack!! :boat: :boat:

You're in a safe place. You can divulge all your cruise obsessive thoughts here, and nobody will laugh, mock or snicker. If anything, we will feel your pain, share your joys over such things as receiving docs, and in general, support each other until that wonderful day known as Embarkation Day!

Hope you can join us often!! :cheer2:

PoohJen,
My DD are adults but to me they are still my little girls. One is getting married in September of this year and the other is in school working on her masters in chemistry. Pops and I are working for their inheritance.

Good Morning ya'll!!!

I am so sorry that I have not been around much!! I have been so busy with the plant closing, and well, now I am unemployed. :sad2: I am going to take advantage of the time and spend some time with the Ken and the kids!! I am going to be lost tomorrow when I have no place to go. Oh well, at least now I can go to the gym everyday.

I will be getting my severance check next week and will use some of it to put the deposit on our cruise!!! Yipee!!!! Ken and I have talked and have decided to go for it!

Sarah, I hope to get back on AIM soon so that I can talk to you. Things here have been very, very crazy! I got some of my film developed and have a great picture of us.

Have a great day everyone and Go Patriots!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

That is great news!!! Glad to see the original gang is getting bigger. After this cruise, if we alll go on another one together, we will be able to charter the entire ship!!! :rotfl:

Ok, I keep thinking my DIS Alert isn't working...turns out no one's rocking the boat!! :hourglass So....how's everyone doing? Anything new going on in anyones' life? :sunny: Inquiring minds want to know!! :teeth:

The Keller's are hanging out. Stia had a fever for 4 days. It got as high as 103.9. Jess and I have a cold, but we're :dancer: again.

I've been approached by three different people, wanting me to start three different types of businesses. Looking at my options now, which is the best fit.

Ok, I've shared enough..... Anyone else?

I noticed you went on the disney cruise this past November. We are planning a cruise on Land/Sea package in November 2005. We will be arriving at a disney resort from November 6 to 10 then sailing on the Wonder from the 10 to 13. I was worried about rough seas during that time of year and also hurricanes. Do you have any experience with these issues.

Welcome!!! And we are so honored that your first post was with us!!!

I can say from experience that our cruise in November was a bit rough. It was our first cruise and wasn't sure of what to expect. From what I understand, it isn't normally that rough during this time of the year but we all made it through. My kids were fine. Never had any problems with them. I am not one to get motion sickness but I did find myself taking a dramamine a couple times. Nothing regularly tho. My father in law did find himself quite green. The pills didn't help him. We did have another relative that happened to have a prescription for the patches for behind the ears. Once he used them, he was fine. Seeing that you are a November cruiser, perhaps you would like to join us on our cruise in 2006 as well!?!? :)

Again... WELCOME!!! pirate:

the motoin got to me on saturday night i left dinner early i took benadryl which made me sleepy. and thursday night missed the midenight dessert buffet.

Can't wait for cruise #2. :-)

No FGM, but I did get a cruise follow up survey that I completed online, mostly about the food, staff, entertainment, kids' clubs. I said lots of good things. My negatives were minor - like the food at Topsiders always being cold! :earboy2:

My only "neg" comment on the 2/4/05 Eastern was Topsiders, too. Food was cold and didn't taste very good. That's OK - Pluto's made up for it (every day!).

See you all 11/06!

~ Renée

Welcome!Renée
This board makes waiting a little less painful.
I stop in every day to see what's going on. (I don't post much) :cool1:
But I love to visit.
Gayle

Hi Renee (and Gayle) - I just updated the first post to include you...

Glad to see a few more 'kidless' cruisers - mine are in college - it is SO much fun to enjoy our DIS friends' kids (love those Princesses princess: princess: princess: princess: from Chicago and princess: princess: Kentucky!) and then go to my own cabin!!!

....and I agree, Topsiders was the one negative of my cruise - we went once for lunch and the food was cold and we couldn't get a seat...the whole cafeteria thing doesn't do it for me!
We preferred to get burgers/chicken fingers from Plutos? and eat out on :boat: deck,,,,didn't want to take any relaxation time away....

im hoping and praying that my sister and i are able to join all of you on this cruise! i just put in a request for my ta to put together a quote - however - i have a costco opening in our area in two weeks and i really want to wait to see what price they can offer

the two of us were on a four night wonder cruise last october and are now hooked and ready to cruise again! this july were taking a trip to las vegas so we are hoping to cruise again next year (hopefully with all of you)

anyone know for sure that this cruise goes to castaway cay twice? it seems sometimes it is listed that way and sometimes it isnt :( i am hoping it is since that was our favorite part of the cruise!

hope to see you all next year!
happy valentines day to all!
:wave2:

This cruise is definately going to CC 2X. Hope you can join us.

Welcome bernee. We too are crusing without children. Well actually ours are adults and they are coming with their children. Like Pat said, we enjoy them and then go to our cabin! Do I hear honeymoon, again. HA HA :cool1:

I am also looking for a bigger 'group' to go to 'Time Warp, A Celebration of the 80’s’ - some of us went but pooped out early! (no names here, you know who you are  ) It is always fun to go with a gang to these things - I thought it was going to be just 80's music but it was a whole show,,,lots of fun! The 70's look good as well as the farewell Britsh Pub Night - I will not skip that this time.

Thanks for the welcome. 11/11/06 is our 17th wedding anniversary. :-) We do not have any children. Never able to make it happen the old fashioned way and decided not to adopt. We love children and especially enjoyed watching them this cruise. There were many cute kids on the 2/04/05 Eastern. I especially loved the little girls on the formal/semi-formal nights in their princess dresses.

TTYS,
Renée
