November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

I have been lucking and found almost all of my dresses for $20 or less. :cool1:
On past cruises i have been able to find some formal dresses at a local consignment shop.

I to may join in on the early morning walk. Leave DH and DD to sleep in.

Yikes! I have to stop coming here...it always winds up costing me more money :lmao: I guess I need to look into dresses and something green pretty darn soon! I was planning on wearing the black dress I wore for the last cruise this time. It's sleeveless which I hate but it still fits. i asked DH last night if he thought it was too late to join Weight Watchers before the cruise......he just rolled his eyes at me :rotfl:

Sorry about the dress FrenchSnowWhite! It looked really pretty.

DS has his cub scout Pack Night tomorrow and they are bobbing for apples! Don't these people know we have a cruise planned? I do not want him sticking his mouth in a tub of water that 40 other sick germy kids have already stuck their's in. :scared:

I'm busy playing with door magnet designs now...
Finally!! :rotfl:

And I just finished up this one:

Click on the thumbnail to see a large size - trying to keep from overwhelming the thread!!

If anyone wants one with their cabin # (and a much higher quality resolution for printing - this is optimized and resized for internet use, not good print quality) I'd be more than happy to update it with your cabin #'s :)

I'd forgotten how fun it is to do this! :goodvibes

I would love to have one also if it isnt too much trouble. If not, our room Cabin is #8056. Now to even be a more pain in the kneck is it possible to add "The Tuckers" in the middle of Mickeys head?

ICK...ICK....ICK! I would be paranoid! There is so many sick people around here, including me! I wouldn't want them do take part in that!

Lauri, We are practically next door. In rooms 1068 & 1066. How old are your kids. I take it one is 13 since he just got Bar Mitzvahed. My oldest is 10 and should be getting a Bar Mitzvah date this year. They get them early here.

As for dresses. I purchased a nice long dress over the summer but just returned it. It was too long and didn't want to be tripping over it all night. I'll have to look for something else now.

We love this location--we've been there 3 times now. DS is 13, and DD is 10. She got her date last year (they give them here in 4th grade), but we've switched dates already. Is your oldest a DS or DD (mine are both J's too)?

Lauri

hey guys :)

I think they have wristband type things at dollar stores. I'm going to check their anyways

I'm pooh sized too :P I planned on just wearing something nice like i'd wear to church (i have an embroidered skirt with this pretty satin shirt i think i'm going to wear). I don't have a lot of money to spend on dresses and stuff. I'm also thinking about a straight blue skirt with button up shirt for semi-formal. Either way, i'm making hubbie match me for formal night. I'm hoping the tree is up and we can get some cute pictures in front of it for christmas presents/cards this year :) Here's hoping ;)

I can't believe the time is going so fast!

Woody is someone going to compile all the meets/info into one list? I think someone said they were doing this, i'm just curious. I haven't had a lot of time to lurk on here. As far as being able to find us, i'm going to try to find the lime green wristbands, but I'll probably also get a lime green mickey head from Home Depot to put on my tinkerbell bag :) I always carry that bag with me as a "purse" on vacations.

Happy 3 weeks and 2 days everyone :)

Well, I bought my green Mardi Gras beads today, so I'm starting to get ready for the cruise! I got them at Joann's. They had a package of 12 for $1.99, so if anyone is looking for these cheaply...

Buf68--I think that Yndygo said she was going to try to do a DIS navigator. I sent her a copy of one we used last year, but I've been so busy that I haven't been able to follow up on it. Maybe this will be a hint :rolleyes1 . I think there were lists compiled many pages back with who was going. I'll have to check for it.

Any morning walkers out there?

On past cruises, we met on sea days for an early morning walk on the Deck 4 promenade. It's an easy way to get in some exercise (while other family members slept), and helped reduce the guilt at mealtime.

Those who have done this before know that the morning sky can be breathtaking.

Any takers?

Woody

Woody,

Becky would like to go depending on what time, we do get up early, so almost any time would work. We are in the same cabin as last year. We should also get together for a drink.

Sean

Just now saw this Karen!
I'll get it to you tomorrow! (I'm up way past my bedtime again... can't sleep! too excited! :))

But will have it to you ASAP... So neat about the Roy Suite again - you guys are going to have such a grand time!!

8530 - not so brain dead hubby.....

I saved myself - 3 away from the dreaded page .......

I just talked to a friend whose first ever cruise and ariplane ride ( after all he's only 39 :scared1: ) was on the Freedom of the Seas - said the weather was great and the seas calm around the islands.

Hope it stays that way!

He thought the lobster on St. Maarten at US$20 was a deal....:rotfl:

You are absolutly correct, some of my best photos have been taken pulling out in the mornings going fishing in the tropics.

I never took any pictures crawling home from the palapa bars though....  ---

Just got home after seeing the Eagles and Dixie Chicks. Awesome concert!

Woody

Where would one acquire such lime-green wristbands??
On our last cruise, someone in our group had them specially made with the cruise date and slogan in glow-in-the-dark letters. See, for example, Lauri's post, below.

. . . Woody--I still liked those lime green bracelets we had last year. If time wasn't what it was this year, I would have ordered them for our cruise. I even wore it with my formal wear

Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of fun stuff?

Woody

I too recall someone saying that, but don't remember who it was. I think they were were going to prepare a list and distribute it by private email, at the port, and onboard to our group (and not place it on the public boards).

Woody

You are hardly a "lurker." You are active and have made many valuable contributions to our cruise meet thread.

A lurker is one who never signs up for the Roll Call and never contributes to the thread, yet reads all our posts for tips and information and is probably on this cruise.

Woody,

. . . We are in the same cabin as last year. We should also get together for a drink.

Sean
Same cabin!?! Good for you! That's a terrific location, and we enjoyed having you as neighbors last year. The family that was on the other side of you are friends of ours who will be on this cruise too.

We would love to getting together for a drink. And how about having breakfast or lunch together at Lumiere's on one of the sea days?

Woody

It looks like we have some interest in a morning walk by:

Woody,
Lauri,
spoohs,
FrenchSnowWhite + DH,
Tink's Mommy, and
flymv's DW.

Let's plan on meeting in the morning on sea days.

Next, we need to pick a time. How does 7:30 sound? On our last cruise, that was the time that the fitness center opened. (Anyone know if this has changed?) That way, if the weather is bad, we could commandeer the treadmills.

Runners and joggers are welcome too. We will wave as you pass by.

Woody

Good morning people!!!!!!:goodvibes

Another week is about to end!!! TGIF:woohoo: :woohoo:
Yesterday kids had no school.......ouf! what a day that was:upsidedow
Today back to normal, and mommy back to work :rotfl:

Just got home after seeing the Eagles and Dixie Chicks. Awesome concert!

Woody i'm sure the concert was awesome, we saw the Chicks live here in Montreal this year!!! They were great;)

An update on dresses ladies???? As you all know won't be able to have that beautifull black dress, and finally decided that I would use what I have already to cruise. I had two dresses that were to big, so I went to the taylor so he could fix them:rolleyes1

Nice friday everyone!!!!;)
