November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

Everyone MUST go to Home Depot. picking up enough lime green Mickey heads for each member of their party. (trying NOT to attract attention to yourselves when collecting your mickey heads)

Get a sharpie & write you screen name & real name on it.

Attach it to your shirt prior to our meeting.

Or I could something on the cricut. ;)

I missed something...lime green mickey heads????

You can tell my family because hopefully we'll be wearing the t shirts I'm gonna make...if they work.:dance3:

Last month when I was in Downtown Disney, I picked up lime green 2008 Mickey Character Shirts. One for me and one for my daughter-in-law, I can't
see the guys in these shirts. I also went to AC Moore and got iron on
letters and put our screen names on the back. So when you see Buglady and Muffin07 on the back of our shirts you will know who we are.

Home Depot gives them away as Disney paint samples. Lots of folks who have visited WDW or DL have gotten the paint chips to attach to their luggage, bagalinni, fanny packs, etc.

You have to make sure the color chips are a lime green color.

Now, the question of the hour: Does Home Depot still have Lime Green >>> I think it is Sonic Green >> as a paint color?

Lime green is the official color of the "disboards". Sounds like a trip to the home depot may be in order.....though I don't know if I can get my 10yr old to wear one....we'll see.

Wow! What a great idea! My plan is to wear my lime-ish green tinker bell shirt the first day on the cruise. My DH could possibly be the tallest guy.......he's 6'4", so he stands out in a crowd. Any other tall EDC's out there?

Did anyone use their rocks to throw at the Big Brown Truck as he flew past your house??? :confused3 I bet he'd stop then !! Just not guaranteeing that your documents would ever get to you, but you would definitely get
his attention.. :scared1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (I actually did that when I was a kid- it was NOT a good idea!)

I almost bought those same lime green Disney shirts when I was in WDW and DHHIR this summer, but I couldn't find all the sizes I needed, so I skipped it:guilty: - I'm impressed some of you already know what you're wearing on Day 1!!!

At dinner i kept on saying, "We're going to Disney this month! We're going on a cruise next month!". I think soon my family is going to start throwing rocks at me!

That shirt I have- I just can't figure out what safe place I put it in!:headache:

OK, bought lime green Disney shirt for DS7, but he stated " I AM NOT WEARING THAT !!". I tried to tell him that the Disney info on it was mandatory for cruise so they know where his room was based on ship level/color, he said and I quote .... " oh yeah, well I'll be the one not wearing the ugly color otherwise I'm staying home and you can wear it as I wave goodbye to you." I got dis'd by DS7 !!! Hopefully I can at least get the wristband on him.
Why are boys so freakin stubborn?? !!!:headache:

Has anyone ever done trick or treating at Downtown Disney? We've done the MMNSSHP before so we thought we'd have dinner at DTD and do some trick or treating....is it a mob scene there?

Trick or treating at downtown Disney. My son took my granddaughter last
year over to downtown Disney to trick or treat. They said it work out
really good, but just got crowed about 6:00 p.m. We are planning on doing
the same this year, going over to DD early afternoon, have diner over their,
and letting the DD (7) put on her costume and trick or treat. We are not
planning on going to the MNSSHP this year, too late of a night for us. Our
only other plans are going to CHef Mickey's on Thursday night for the buffet.
Maybe we will see you over at Downtown Disney on Halloween, we
will be wearng our braclets.

If my math is right, we will need to have at least 12 posts per day to hit 2000 before our cruise.

I am doing my part. :yay:

...Only 29 more days of Pennsylvania political ads! I refuse to watch political ads as of October 31st - DCL CRUISE VACATION!

So, I can screen those calls.

I almost didn't pick up the phone yesterday from UAL. Not a big time change to MCO but time change leaving MCO to IAD coming home after the cruise.

and found my dinner is now "main seating"

Does this mean that I have the earlier dinner time?

That is GREAT if it is. The kids & I have been going to be by 8:30 pm and I think we would fall asleep by 9pm.

Yep, sounds like you got moved to the earlier dinner seating - main seating. We have main seating too. ;)

Does anyone else feel like the days are going by so quickly now that it'll be here before we realize it? LOL I'm getting that way!

Yes, I feel like that, too! I keep thinking I need to do 10 million things for the Craft Fair before I go....AND, more importantly, I have to find a gown I want to wear on formal night!

I was on the DCL sight last night, getting very itchy- as in, what else should I do at that spa? But I think I have enough- I want to do soooo many things on that ship;but, I don't want to spend time getting my nails painted when I could be learning about martinis!;)

He was shocked to hear I was checking the ressie EVERY DAY!:rolleyes1
