We've been to Aquatica, the new Sea World water park. It was alot of fun except my DH and DS waited on line for an hour for the tube ride that goes through the dolphin tank. The ride lasted about thirty seconds and you fly so fast by the dolphins you only see a big blurr whizzing by. Better off checking out the dolphins (that look like minature orca whales..beautiful) at the observation area. Enjoy!!

He was IMPRESSED with the purchases so far.

I told the teacher last night that the kiddo in her class would be on the cruise! She was impressed & excited for us. I did tell her it was a surprise. Let's hope she doesn't blow it.

O.K...being as I must be the only person on here who grew up and STILL lives in the same town, I have to just say this...
YES...the Ocean County Mall is still there, YES... it is still as gross as it was back in the 80's ...YES...the security still chases you out on Fri/Sat nights from the movies. The Halloween parade is still on Mischief Night and .........
Now the real reason for all this.
Either you went to Toms River North,South,East or St.Joes/Monsigner Donovan and as I being from Southern Regional and the start of football season.....
WE ARE GONNA KICK YOUR BUTTS THIS YEAR !!!!!

Just a little friendly rivalry to bring you all back to Ocean County...welcome home.

I went to TRHS North!!! Go mariners!! Course, haven't been to a game in almost 20 years, so I couldn't tell you if they were even good!! LOL *sigh* definately times I miss NJ, then again, sometimes I don't

The movie theater memories just came flooding back...the side door at the mall, the small theaters and the oh so gross sticky floors....hopefully they have upgraded it?

Oh a MARINER??? What yr did you graduate? I was '85...so I'm old.
And no they never did upgrade the theatre,,it's still sticky gross and has that ever loving mold odor.

Can you add me to the list as well? I'm a procrastinator. I'm not exactly sure what sizes we'll need. I just need 4 of them (my brother isn't cruising with us after all), and all adult sizes. Yes, good luck Tinapomp and all who are living down in TX. My Aunt and Cousins all live in Beaumont. They evacuated 3 days ago to Pensicola FL, got the last 3 rooms in the one hotel. I guess we won't know for days what will be left of their homes. They had alot of damage after Rita (after Katrina!)

Thank you! I live in Galveston County, and am SO very worried about our apartment flooding. But we evacuated and are northwest of Houston right now with our 3 kitties in a hotel. So until I lose power, I'll be online (just cause I'm bored in the hotel room).

What is SO scary is that hours before the storm hit, there was MAJOR flooding in Galveston already just from the rising gulf waters. This was without even rain or the awful storm surge that is coming.

Which reminds me.... if I'm out of power, I'm not sure when I'll be back online, but I definitely do want the wristbands and I'll get the money to you as soon as I can.

to you Tinapomp, my aunt says having to stay in and pay for the hotels for days on ends is just brutal. Luckily they are letting you keep the kitties there with you!!

Please stay safe, even though you are up into Houston right now, sounds like still going to hit you pretty hard. (yeah, you probably already knew that!) Please let us know any updates when you get power back and get back online. Prayers to you all!!
