I wish they were coming on the cruise! But Lonnie gets VERY seasick:scared: , so they'll just be trick or treating with us before we go! I am, however, working on other friends- I do love traveling with familiar faces!!! Hopefully, that's who everyone on this board will be by the time we sail:flower3: .

I have been moving this ressie around since we rebooked onboard in 12/06. We finally booked this about a month ago. The kids can't wait. Right now I am working on getting the baby potty trained so he can go in the Mickey pool and kids clubs. So a far that is working out OK:scared: He had 2 accidents today so that isn't to bad. My oldest is a great kid just didn't really like the teen program so she hung with us and her grandmother. My 12 year old (will be 13 on the cruise) is also a video game junkie! The cruise is the one time that we ban video games. We will be celebrating his birthday on board the same way we did the oldest! It was a lot of fun.

Heres one of all of them.

Hey Everyone! Just thought I would say hello:wave2: :wave2: It's been a rough week with my two kids having the stomach bug! My daughter had it last Monday and my son had it Friday and to top it off we added a new puppy to the household so I think I was about to lose it!! We are now getting back to normal and hopefully summer will be here before we know it!

Hey Momofsdd5-Please tell your DS10 that my DS10 who will be DS11 on the cruise is a big Giants fan- they'll have a blast! Welcome aboard- your kids are beautiful, looking forward to meeting you all!

I'm back. It's been a while since I logged in, but I can't wait for November. We have researched this cruise more than any other vacation. My big fear now is that after all of this planning , effort, and waiting, it'll be an enormous let down when it is all over. I suppose that is why there are so many of you repeat offenders. Once you are done, you have to catch that wave again!

I can't believe it's only 8 months away.

The eldest kids is getting over strep. The prime months in our house for strep is .... March & NOVEMBER.

I may have to have a little chat w/ the Peds. as to what to do if this kid gets sick then. Dk#1 has developed an allergy to amoxicillian and has had to use obscure antibiotics. I sure would hate to see one of the kids sick on board the cruise.

Seems some of the clothes that I purchased for the WDW trip in less than 2 weeks & for the cruise NEVER had the security tags removed at the store. I gotta go back this Sat and have them removed. NOW I gotta go shopping again :rotfl:

Little do the kids know that the shopping I have been doing at the Outlets is for THE CRUISE too!!! They just think it is for the upcoming WDW trip. :woohoo:

I do want 2 start looking for our pirate costumes ... without them knowing of course

What are folks wearing these days on Pirate Night?????

The last cruise we went on Pirate night was the night we were at St. Maartin. I bought DH and I pirate tshirts on the island to wear (this was the Eastern cruise obviously) and then we wore the bandanas they passed out at dinner.

This year, with the kids, they'll be wearing costumes. I'm not sure if I can convince DH to get dressed up, lol. Some people go ALL out!!

Oh and WELCOME to all the new people!!! Please email me to get the invite to our yahoo group (a more secure place for our information, and the full res picture of our Election Mickey!)

I heard about them on other threads :rolleyes1

Anyone interested??

Judy

I am curious about Pirates Night. At first, I though it was just a deck party, but I've seen sit down dining menus for it. Is it a deck party after dinner? How does that work with the early and late seatings for dinner. Is the deck party later in the evening?

Last November, I intended to purchase Pirate wear at WDW, which I did not do. Looks like I'll be making a trip to NYC for the World of Disney store soon.

Our first cruise was a 4 nite on the Wonder, and we didn't see any elaborate door decorations or fish extenders. The boards indicate that they are more likely on the Magic than on the Wonder.

As for Pirate Nite for our crew, DH and DD begrudgingly wore pirate t-shirts. I have a full pirate outfit that I will probably be bringing again. After all, the people I'll be cruising with this time haven't seen me in that outfit yet.:rotfl:

Hopefully, all the new restrictions about extra costs for the second checked bags with USAir won't make me have to leave my pirate hat and boots at home.

Pirate night in the main dining room. Your waitstaff will be piratey. There is a special menu that night which will be rolled up in a scroll (which you can keep). You will receive a complimentary pirate bandana to get into the mood. The Pirate Party on Deck 9 starts after dinner at 9:45 p.m. (check your Navigator - the ship newspaper which you get everyday) and the pirate night deck party includes a fireworks display. (Which we watched from deck 10 starboard side.) There was also a dessert buffet and some hot dishes buffet style back by the drink station (I remember seeing those big turkey legs and crepes).

We had (ugh) late (last) seating on Wonder at 8:30 p.m. and did finish dinner in time to make it to the party (although it was pretty crowded by the time we got up there).

On the Wonder there were a good number of adults who really went all out with the costumes, but they were not in the majority. Apparently, the guests on the Magic tend to be more of a no holds barred bunch when it comes to the cruises.

Arrrggh...Me thinks there will be a fish extender in our future!pirate:

DD will probably be wearing her Elizabeth Swan pirate outfit. I might wear the bandana, and pirate t-shirt. DW just informed me she bought matching pirate t-shirts for her and DD!

I would really love to dress up- so far my family will be wearing pirate shirts we got in the carribean in January- but I have a few months to work on them, right?pirate: pirate: pirate:
I would LOVE to do fish extenders!! So happy other people would, too!!:thumbsup2

I would also love to do fish extenders and one is being made for me which is in the works! Everyone seems to love it and it a nice surprise for the kids when returning back to the rooms! Let's Go For IT!:thumbsup2

Has anyone done this before on DCL?

I would love to do the FE's with a co leader.

ANY volunteers???

I will be looking for some Disney patches/embroidery at the local sewing store.

I am going to wait to do the actual FE in Sept. Both of our kids will be in school f/t and I can work without ALL the ?????

Do you mean coleader to coordinate cabin #'s and days of giving out gifts? I can help with that. If you mean sewing them all, I thought everyone made their own or bought it off of ebay- right?

I searched for a resi for the Radisson at Port and it came back not available. Is anyone staying there Oct 31 before the cruise?:confused3
