November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

November-goers are apparently on vacation these past couple days..... I can't remember a time when no one posted for this long! :rotfl2:

Just haven't had time. The kids are out of school for summer now, but my summer classes have started so I am working on that while entertaining the kiddos. Hopefully that makes the time pass quicker...LOL

LOL, of course not! :lmao: I post on both (actually I think I only posted twice), and would never abandon our faithful thread! I've been posting on this thread since Oct. 2007. Don't plan on stopping now! :goodvibes

Hurry November can't wait but do not want to wish my time away. Heading to see Jimmy Buffet so that has taken time to plan. Gonna try making some shirts for the concert gottta get some practice before we make them for WDW.

Made dining reservations
Working on Autograph book (almost completed)
Purchased DD her own luggage
Priminig DD on all Disney characters amazing she loves the classics; loves Goofy and Baloo.
Fly or Drive Fly or Drive; I hate to fly but it is so much faster and do not waste time driving each way. If we drive we can close the park on our last day and drive for a few hours and rest. Anyone from NC got any thoughts??:moped:

Hi Kirstie,

Same here planning all done and just waiting for the big day to arrive :hyper:
Have great time today at a UK park and happy birthday to DD

Do you mean the Osborne Light Show? They have that every year from what I understand (and it's NOT Ozzy Osbourne's family like I thought! :lmao: ) I heard the rumor that they might be planning a special event for Mickey's 80th birthday on Nov. 18th, but nothing is confirmed.

I have heard the crowds are pretty heavy Thanksgiving week and it is basically one of the super busiest times of the year.

This would be so cool if this happen while we are there :goodvibes
Fingers cross that something is being planned :thumbsup2

Hey guys! FYI...The hours for November have started to post!! They are going up VERY SLOWLY, but I think they should have everything up soon!! :cool1:

I was so ecited when I saw they are all up...well the park hours, not the special stuff.

I have been looking at the Nov. Calendar and I have a question about extra magic hours

If the MK is open till 11:00 p.m. does that mean that Extra Magic hours will go till 2 a.m.? :cool1:

Please do not laugh at my question the last time I was at Disney they did not offer the extra magic hours.

We booked our ressies way before the hours for November were posted, we only had to make 1 change. Boy we got lucky:banana:

Well I hope not too many people stepped off the cliff during the month without the hours! I did my best to talk everyone down.... I turned out to be right about everything I said! Always a first time.... uh.... I mean, just like always.....:rotfl2:
As to your questions, kapp, yes the Magic Kingdom will be open until 2.00 that night. They say "up to three hours," but if anyone can come in with an example of when it was less than three hours, I'd be interested in hearing it.
As for the crowds.... well, yes, they are fairly heavy. But keep in mind that everyone's idea of crowded is different. It was my first trip in 12 years and I thought they were manageable, though I will admit that I didn't have to shove my way onto particularly busy rides because I was staying into the following week. Tuesday wasn't too bad, and the Magic Kingdom that night wasn't particularly crowded in my estimation.
Wednesday they start to pick up. It was impossible to ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster that day, but we saw everything else.
Thursday I've heard is a zoo. Stormalong Bay was empty at 11.00.... after that, we were off the property!
Friday was very busy at EPCOT, including the EMH. Soarin' at 250 minute wait at one point during the day and consistently over an hour until the park closing, but it wasn't bad elsewhere during EMH. Even Test Track was ultimately doable, though the ride broke down as we waited for the ready room!
Saturday crowds at the Animal Kingdom were fairly dense, but it didn't stop us from doing everything eventually. We heard that the Magic Kingdom was packed, though, and our friends were regretting their attempts.
Sunday they begin to ease off, a lot of people go home. We were at our leisure at Blizzard Beach, it was great.
If you want further details, check out my trip report, it'll give you a sense of what we were able to do within certain time frames.

A big shout out Hello to all the fellow November DIS'ers

Please add me to the list.

November 15-23 Grand Floridian

Finally, the hours are out.......Yeepee..back to planning.
