November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

I am right there with you. I feel like the hours not being posted are holding me up.If they just post the hours all my planning will fall in to place and some how it will be time to go!!!

You can always see what the hours were last year, they usually are close to the same. MK usually has EMH evenings on Mondays, and mornings on Thursdays, and so on. You might be able to find last year's hours on allears or one of the other big websites and use that as a guide until this year's come out. The unofficial guide's website is also good for planning.

I based my hours on last year. Hopefully they're the same or close. I don't have to worry about breakfast as we are in a villa and will eat there. I'm just reserving dinners. Don't have to worry about park hours so much with those.

The nice thing about our 180 being in the middle of the month is that if there are changes, they should be posted before we have to call.

I´ve found a way to make the time go faster.
I´m booking a trip to Denmark end of June/July

on another trip! Planning and going to Denmark should definitely make the time fly by!

Only 2 weeks for May 1 and November's hours. I sure am starting to get anxious. I always made our trips below the 180 day mark, so I never had this waiting time for making ADRs. We will be having 9 in our party, so I am hoping I don't have any trouble with seating.

I have also decided to go to the first MVMCP on the 10th. There is one on the 11th too, but that is Veteran's Day. I figured that one might be more busy. I am excited because we have never been to any of the parties.

It sure does sound great.

For my ADR plans I am just making them based on which park I am planning to go into each day right now. I am not sure the park hours/EMHs will be posted when I get to make ADRs so I am just winging it all right now.

November 10, 11, 14, 16, 20, 21, 30
December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 19

Tickets go on sale May 1, 2008!

To make it through the next 7 months, I will be spending an endless amount of hours on the DIS, Allears, and my planning spreadsheet......I actually "thrive" on the planning and it DOES help to pass the time!

The hardest part of my countdown this year is that we are surprising the kids, so I can't talk about our trip with them!
My 3 boys are just as fanatical about Disney as I am, so it's VERY DIFFICULT!!! They actually bring up the subject of "Going to Disney" EVERY day, so we do talk in general terms about our "next" trip. They have no idea that we have booked a Land & Sea vacation for the week after Thanksgiving!

We have similar dilemia, my MIL/FIL/SIL have decided to join our trip from Nov29-Dec 6th. The kids know we are going but have NO idea the others are going so DH & I have to be very careful about what we discuss and can't discuss specifics at MIL/FIL house when kids are around. They don't want to get the kids excited about them going incase they have to cancel at last moment (MIL has medical issues). They are planning to surprise kids at dinner the night we arrive since we are on different flts.

We are confirmed and I'm so excited. So far the only thing we have booked is a 3 bedroom condo at Windor Hills. We had planned to stay at Port Orleans Riverside but after doing the math it just didn't make sense so we are trying our first offsite trip. Right now the confirmed vacationers are my Mom, DD and I. My uncle and younger brother plan to join us for part of the week hence the reason for getting the larger condo. We have decided to "try" and keep it a secret from my 6 year old daughter until we leave. Hopefully I can keep it a secret.

I think due to costs (recently divorced) we are only going to be able to do one character meal and chose Liberty Tree Tavern. I would love to take her back to the Castle for bkfst b/c she enjoyed it so much 3 years ago but just can't afford it. I want to do the MVMCP so that will be an added expense along with hopefully a day at Sea World.

Looking forward to chatting / planning here with everybody over the next few months.

You have 7 months to go, so I thought you could read my trip report from 2006. We surprised the kids and it was a blast. Lot's of pictures and we went almost the exact same dates.

If you're considering the Extra Magic Hours, you can go by the October ones that are currently available on the Disney website, they're almost certain to be essentially the same days of the week. Just move the Magic Kingdom evening hours from Sunday to Monday night when there's a party.
As for the hours that the parks will be open, I would suggest using last November's schedule are a guide. It won't be dead on equivalent, but it'll help you in the absence of the official 2008 times.
Remember, too, that you can schedule a breakfast in the parks before the official openings, and they will let you stay to finish your meal if your dinner extends beyond the official closing.
