November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

All my fears of youngest DS being scared of the characters have been laid to rest. While at Chattanooga this weekend we went to Rock City and they have these picgs that are the same type of characters. DS was so excited and asked me to take his picture. I was so hapy because I was worried he would still be a bit hesitant at Disney World meeting characters. But now I see I won't have a problem with him not wanting to...woohoo!

I hope you all had fun in Chattanooga. I am so glad to hear it went well with your DS and the characters. It will be so much fun at Disney to see characters and get lots of pictures.

I hope my twins do well with the characters.

I guess I just got lucky, my kids don't mind the characters. Well, there is the baby now and she'll be 15 months when we go, but, I guess it was never a concern of mine. Gee, I hope she won't have a problem with them. When my oldest daughter was 10 months and 2 years we went, and she loved all the characters.

Monica, my youngest will be 7 when we go. We were suppose to go for his 5th birthday but he was so afraid of mascot type characters he informed us he was not going and was going to go stay with meemaw when we went. So we decided to cancel until he was ready. His fear of characters was so bad when he started Kindergarten I talked with his teacher to inform her so when they had peprallys and the bear mascot was there, she would be prepared. She would make sure she sat with him at the pep rallys just in case. Finally by the end of Kindergarten he started to warm up to the bears. Actually when he was younger (preschool age) he loved the bears, but he saw one without their heads on once and I seriously think this tramatized him. He was so afraid the bear had eaten the girl...poor thing could not trust those bears anymore.

We're going November 17-23!!!! This is our first time as a family and we are sooooo excited!!! It will be my DH, myself, DS-7, DS-5, DS-3, and our DD-22months who has been home 6 months from Ethiopia!
We are staying at POR, in 1 room Hopefully we will all still like each other after this trip!

Great news

We too are going in November 2008. We will be @ the All Star Music from November 26, 2008 - December 7, 2008. There will be 4 of us - Me, DH, DS (7) and my mom! We are so excited! Can't hardly wait. This is our 2nd trip as the 4 of us and the 3rd trip for my DH & me. We celebrated our honeymoon @ Disney in 1997 and now we'll be back for our 11th anniversary on Nov. 29!

I always wonder how much we (my family) will like each other after being crammed into one hotel room for a week.

That's why I went with 2 rooms at pop. Plus the extra bathroom was key!

Thats why we almost went with All stars music family suite...I would love having 2 bathrooms. Now its is showing there are no suites available for our dates. So I will keep checking back and if so we might switch from POR.

We are booked for Nov 27 - Dec 1 . It is the first trip for DH and DD4. I have not been since high school magic music days in 1996. We are sooooooo excited!!!!! DD is a princess nut so it will be really exciting for her.

Any planning or other Disney related stuff happening?

I just placed an order for my baggillini. I decided it was what I wanted. Plus I am going to a ladies conference to hear Beth Moore in June and thougt it would be great for tat. I can carry my Bible, notebook and waterbottle along with my billfold and cell pone and still ave my hands free.

It is so great to see this many people going in November we love it then!! DBF wants to add another day, I think 12 is enough LOL, just kidding I would spend a month there if the budget allowed.

As for planning since they released the tentative dates for MVMCP we are looking at our itinerary to see where to fit it in the best. We went last year and loved it, it is a "must do" for us.

Does anyone else feel like it is going to take forever to get to November or is it just me?

November is ds1 birthday and a much quieter less humid time to go, wont be able to do it next yr as ds1 will be at school so going to have to get used to crowds and humidity from now on (though planning to do a cheaper trip in May/june 2009 which im slowly wearing dh down about!)
