Hi All

Pretty specific question here, but Hawaii requires a Covid test from very specific approved sites, in order for Canadians to prove evidence of a negative test. Closest Hawaii-approved testing site for Nova Scotians is New Brunswick!

We have a tentative (ie flexible change) flight to Aulani with United Airlines thru Halifax -Newark-Honolulu for Feb. I hope all of this will be moot by Feb, but planning Plan B if we still need a negative Covid test prior to heading to Hawaii. Anyone else been through this, or facing similar situation? We will be double vaxed at that point, but know that ongoing testing may be part of the containment strategy along with proof of vax.

Thanks!

At this point I wouldn't worry about it. On July 8, Hawaii is doing away with the testing requirement for anyone that is vaccinated, coming from the mainland US. Once they reach 70% vaccinated in Hawaii, the Safe Travels/testing requirements will cease to exist for Hawaii. That should happen this Fall sometime.
