Not sure if this has made the news in your local area, but Nova Scotia is going through the aftermath of a mass shooting that took place overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.

So heartbreaking for the families of the (so far confirmed) 17 people who have been killed, including an RCMP officer.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers...

Yeah I've seen updates on CP24. There's a thread on the community board.

Technically it's a "spree shooting" since the killings did not happen in one place (because... well, you know). This does not make me feel any better but it was something I asked about on the CB thread.

Anyway it's a terrible occurrence, and thankfully one that does not happen too often in Canada. My heart goes out to all the families and communities affected in Nova Scotia.
