HI- i know i have read over a lot of posts regarding the weather in nov dec...but i am looking for some temps.
we are going to be there nov 29th- dec 4th.
what would be a good guess as far as temps?
being from WI....fall is perfect for us ( all cant handle heat except DH) with temps between 50 and 70 in the day, 40's at night....is that a fair comparison to WDW weather around our trip time? is it normally sunny or overcast? -

thanks

I've been many times the first or second week of December. The weather then is totally unpredictable ahead of time.

It can be in the 80s or in the 30s - both are extremes and not too likely but it could happen.

You will most likely have highs in the 50-70s with the lows being about 20 degrees lower. It doesn't rain a lot during this time but that's not saying that it is impossible.

I find it best to check the internet 7 day forecast just before I leave to get a feel for the probably range of temps.

You still need to be prepared to pack for different temps. Layering is key at this time of year.

Sometimes it is cool in the shade but a sweatshirt is too much in the sun. I try to wear a heavier shirt (corduroy, flannel, denim) as a jacket as that is easier to take on and off than a sweatshirt.

I would definitely bring gloves and a scarf - it can be very cold at night. Those little stretch gloves that cost $1 at Target or Walmart cost $8 at disney. A longsleeve tshirt or turtleneck with a longsleeve heavy shirt or sweatshirt topped by a fleece jacket kept me warm even when it was the coldest.

If you are lucky you will never need more than the first layer or two. I usually toss in a short sleeve tshirt and shorts just in case.

how cold is cold to need to bring gloves?

DH & I work outside so we are used to the weather, but my kids are not.....i guess i assumed that florida was warmer than that in winter.....but i guess i was wrong

thanks

Tina

I hope that this will be a warm year as I will be there too this December.

One of the problems in Florida is that the cold can be worse because of the humidity. Just like 85 degrees with humidity can be much worse than a dry higher temperature.

The coldest I think I've ever been was one year in New Orleans at Mardi Gras. It was in the mid or upper 30s but with the wind and the humidity the cold just went right through me and I am NOT cold natured at all. I was chilled to the bone.

On the tram and on some of the rides like the Safari in AKL you are moving in an unenclosed vehicle and the wind can be quite cold if the temperature drops.

In the years when it does turn cold - especially at night - Disney quickly sells a lot of gloves and hats. The have been know to run out of gloves.

I've just found it easier to toss in a pair of cheap gloves - those little stretchy ones don't take up any room.

My guess is that it's only when it goes below 40 or 45 degrees that you have to worry about being really cold.

I know it's kind of random but it does seem more likely to get cold a little later in the month or in early January.

When I lived in Dallas I remember there being a terrible ice storm in January - and a week later it was in the 70s. I now live in Arkansas and on Christmas Day it has been in the 70s one year and then below zero another year.
