we usually go around dec 5 or jan 5...this time want to got to food and wine but if the crowds are worse it wouldn't be worth it to us ( have a hard time standing for long periods due to physical problems)

usually all attractions are walk ons when we go with the very occasional 10 min wait. fast pass is not even open sometimes. how much of a difference will it be in Nov.? is every ride a wait? has anyone gone both times?

I'm not an expert but I would guess that Nov 5 is somewhat more crowded than Dec 5 or Jan 5, but still manageable. Later in Nov it gets more crowded.

I haven't been during early Jan but have heard it's nearly deserted right after New Years. Early Dec has become more popular but still has very mild crowds for the most part; this is when we go. I was in Epcot on Oct 31 2002 (a Thursday) 12:00-3:00 and it was nearly empty -- no lines at all at the food booths. Maybe I was just lucky.

Last year in mid-Nov is was empty - we walked onto every ride other than the Speedway & even that was only a 15 min. wait - as compared to 90 min. other times. Some attractions had CM's outside trying to pull you in so they could fill the attraction like Its Tough to be a Bug at AK & Tarzan Rocks. It was incredible. We're going early to mid Dec. this year & I have a feeling it will be a bit more crowded.

actually we used to go till the 18th or so in dec( left the day peak season started!) and it was pretty empty till that day.once we stayed one extra day and on that day hordes came out of seemingly nowhere!

I am planning a trip now for Dec. We went last year the 2nd week of Dec and it was great but we might have a conflict with the 2nd week this year so we are considering the 3rd week. I am concerned that it will be a little more crowded being a week before christmas week...Any thoughts on this?

check and see when peak season starts and expect mass quantities of people from that day till the week after ny ( like the 1/3-5 or so depending on what day ny is on, i think it is busy till the next weekend is over, depending what day the holiday falls on) it will be NOTHING like the first week in dec since that holiday is i beleive #1 busy time...see my post above yours, it went from walk on to so busy we left the parks due to the crowds" in 24 hrs"! unbelievable!
