Nov 25-Dec 2

And all this time i thought you were a girl...........HEHEHEHE
Allright truce?
Do you know and good Poly. concierge threads?

aaaaa, no, I'm way to cheap for that! hahaha - It would be nice though. have you done concierge before?

Yes, last Dec. also this coming Sept + Dec. I am still looking for info on extra special stuff that they can do.

Tell me why it's worth the extra money. The only benefit I think we would use would be the breakfast. What else do they do for you?

Is it a fiscally sound decision, no.
I/we are on vacation.
The concierge food is good enough to suffice for any meal of the day and it is right down the hall. We wind up having a pretzel or something at the park anyway. I can only tolerate maybe one character meal a day with two kids anyway. That conveinence is worth a ton to me. If we were going to Disney for the food I would rather stay home and go to Ruth Chris's in the city.
The lounge is terrific and conveinent. Breakfast at 7am then out the door. Might not even have lunch till we go back to the room and pool for siesta, stuff is available down the hall. There is no chow schedule to adhere to, after siesta, a quick trip to the loung about 5pm then off to the parks. Not to mention any pre 10pm snack runs.
With young kids it is great, some will disagree but I am on vacation.:goodvibes
Bla bla bla I dislike typing so I have to end it there if have any ?'s let me know.

You crack me up! I am so with you on the "I'm on vacation" deal. But we go commando thru the parks and often don't return until late, so meals at the hotel just wouldn't fly for us. The snack plan would work! HMMMM... when will you be there? Sneak us a cookie would ya!?!

We're IN!!!! Nov 26-Dec 2. Doing Mon-Mon, cheeper flights (plus my days off are Sun/Mon, so my vacation goes Sun to the following Mon)

We'll have 2 rooms at Port Orleans: Riverside. This will be the 2nd time we've done this week. First did it in '05 and it was AWESOME! Went to MK that first Tue, it was raining lightly in the AM and a lot of people decided it wouldn't be a park day! HA!!!! Thats to bad for them because we got to MK about 1130am or so, drizzle was starting to fade, by 1pm the sky was blue and the park was EMPTY! We rode everything with almost no wait, did Buzz 3 or 4 times without a line, Philharmagic twice, HM walk on, Splash 2 minute wait, BTMR walk on, Space Mtn walk on. The longest wait was Indy (10 minutes) and Peter Pan (10 minutes).

Throughout the week it was pretty much the same, used fast pass only a few times (once definately for Soarin and I forget what else we used it for). EMH at MGM that last Sun I rode RnRC 3 times NO LINE! WOO HOOO.

Temps were very good though the week. The night we did MVMCP (thurs) it was in the low 50's which made it great. We're definately doing MVMCP again, probably Thrus night. That parade is my favorite and I definately want to get some Holiday Wishes photos.

We are booked through AAA with their discount (saved 20%) and do have the dine plan booked. Can't wait till May when I make the ADR's. We already have 5 resturaunts picked out (Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Boma, Ashkerhus, & Moma Melrose, might also do Boatworks (hotel resturaunt) and 1 other, or maybe do California Grill. We still have time to decide.

We missed out on the Candlelight Processional last time and we WONT miss it this time. DW was very dissapointed (she's a music teacher & was looking foward to the orchestra and choir).

The decorations are the best. I can't wait to put my new (well new since the last time we went that same week) camera to work down there during x-mas!! I'm guessing I'll end up with upwards of 3,000+ pics!!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOO

Maybe one cookie, I've seen your picture...............Now that's funny:rotfl:
You go commando thru the parks, I have the Mary Popins Brigade. Slow down, I'm tired...................... We still have a couple character meals. Staying the same dates you are. Glad ya have a sense of humor.:goodvibes

OMG! You are a NASTY thing!:lmao: I've started WW so by the time we get there I will be lookin' so hot! And no, I don't mean sweaty! So you just go ahead and eat those expensive cookies! :snooty: We might do 1 character meal, my son will be 10 and I don't know if he will be into that anymore. I would like to do the castle one but there is now way my guys would sit thru that.

Good morning and i'm sorry I couldn't resist. We will probably do an o'hana something, heard great things about it. If it is that good we'll do it on both trips. Gotta go, time to beat the children.

Whats your story? How many kids do you have?

I take the weekend off and we're up to 4 pages. Wow! And I'm just confused, but that's nothing new.

We're still booked at CBR, we still don't have kids and we think we've already figured out our ADR's, but who knows what could change. And then there is always the possiblity that something will be undergoing rehab during our trip and we just don't know about it yet, so that could throw a curve our way.

Anyway...we are planning: (in no particular order)

Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Boma
Cap'n Jacks
ESPN
L'Originale Alfredo di Roma
1900 Park Fair
50's Primetime Cafe

Have or will you do an O'HANA anything? I thinking about a B-fast I heard it was great.

We thought about O'hana - never been there - but decided probably not on this trip. I've read a number of reviews and it seems somewhat hit or miss. And since we don't have kids, we thought we'd plan less interactive dinners - which is also why we decided not to try Whispering Canyon on this trip too.

Last year when we went (January), money was something of an issue so we ate mostly off-site. This year, we're adding the Dining Plan so we can try more table service places which we normally wouldn't. This will be only the second trip that we've gone on together. I went for the first time ever in 2001 with my sisters and their families. (I was single.) And hubby hadn't been since he was a teenager (about 20 years ago).

Just subscribing to this thread. We are booked for Nov 23- December 2nd, at Pop Century so far, but may upgrade if we get a better rate. Right now we have AAA 20%. Myself, DH, my mother, my sister and six kids in three rooms. We went three years ago during this week and LOVED it, especially the CP and osborne lights. I loved the christmas party too, but may not do it this time, just because of the extra expense. Weather three years ago way fairly warm during the day, but chilly at night.

Love Alfredo's, great food and great service when we were the last time. This trip we're doing the Princess Storybook Dinner at Epcot, DW wants to see princesses especially that DD will have just turned 3 before we get there. DW already has plans for what DD will be wearing. :sad2:

We're doing Boma too. My Sis and BIL did it on their honeymoon 5 years ago and loved it and want to do it again. We haven't been there yet, but I'm definately looking forward to it.

Chef Mickey's is almost a must for us (as is Crystal Palace) but we'll probably do it for din din.

3 1/2 months till we can book ADR's.

We did Crystal Palace last year, so this year it's Chef Mickey's. Hubby is a Pooh fan and Mickey is always my guy, so we decided those would be our two breakfast spots...but not in the same year.

Hubby is half Italian and has been to Italy (still has family there), so he really wanted Italian, but I had to get all the reviews here before we decided for sure. Of course, finding out they have tiramisu made it an easy choice for me. We were drooling over the menu yesterday. This could be a long 9 1/2 months.

This could be a long 9 1/2 months.

Thats the understatement of the year!!!

At Alfredo's, DW & I each had the Tagliolini Alla Vodka con Gamberoni which was soooo yummmmmyyyy. My mom and my FIL each had Arrosto di Agnello which I got a taste of and it was verrrrrry good. My MIL had Celiac disease (alergic to wheat/gluten) and they made her a specialty dish of home made gluten free pasta and red sauce, fresh hot baked gluten free bread and something else (I forget what) and she wouldn't let anyone else touch it and ate the whole thing with a big smile on her face. They also made her a special gluten free desert. I forget what we had for desert. It was a great meal. The General Manager was telling us that it is THE busiest Italian resturaunt in the world serving over 3,000 people per day. He thought the Celiac disase was no big deal, saying they get on average 4 or 5 people a day and always have more than enough gluten free food. One of the other waiters made our DD his special little girl while we were there, at one point singing little songs to her as he walked by. She loved it:
