It's been ten years since the family and I have been to WDW and we feel a trip is long overdue. Have decided on Nov 2010 and booked a lovely villa in WH for three weeks and purchased our passes before the mouse decides to raise the price. Flights are a seperate issue; :thumbsup2the prices for Nov 2010 are just now being released and are running around 500-550 for VA and BA. As it's been so long since I have purchased flights to Florida is this a good price? Is it worth maybe waiting to see if either airline have a sale? Last time we flew was Nov 2000 and I seem to remember paying around 300 for VA but ten years is a long time and inflation takes it's toll. Have any of you fine folks flown in Nov in the last couple of years and if so could you tell me what price you paid?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Welcome to DISboards.
I don't really follow Nov prices, but it is low season, £500+ is a bit expensive in my opinion. I would be aiming for around £400, just looked at March prices as I would say similar prices, they want about £430 or £380 for miles and money(don't suppose you have any miles saved?)
Hopefully someone with Nov experience will offer some advice.

Hiya,
Welcome to my club, i am travelling 3rd nov, to around the 15th,ish. So far the cheapest i have seen are £470 with Virgin, from Man to MCO hoping they come down for when i can book next week the further into nov dates we get (if that makes sense). Otherwise will be waiting for miles and money offers to come, which seem to fall month further on.
I want to wait to see if there is a sale but don't know if i dare.

The prices do seem high with Nov being low season. I may wait until Christmas/New Years and see if there are any sales. My wife loves WDW but hates the traveling to get there. If I book indirect I will be sleeping in the dog house:rotfl:-just crossing my fingers that BA or VA will slash the prices a bit!!

Hey, I've been going to Florida in November for a couple of years now. Last year I paid about £450 with BA from Gatwick to Tampa, this year I went indirect via Charlotte on US Airways from Gatwick. It was about £325 and fairly painless!

I don't usually book till May - June and there's usually a sale with BA around that time. One thing to also consider is that the flights are only just starting to be released - I checked Expedia earlier today for next year and only BA and Virgin were coming up so far so there's not much to compare to. I don't think the USA based airline have released their flights yet........

A side note, November is a FAB time to go - this year we had a bit of cloud the first week but it was definitely t-shirt weather when we got to Disney :thumbsup2

Hiya
Thanks for that, we would deffo fly indirect if the price was right, but we now have a 2 year old, will be 3 when we travel and i'm not sure if this will agree with him or not, when we went in march he was fine but flew direct. Anyway tough, if we get a fab price indirect, we can all entertain each other for the few extra hours.

Will keep checking virgin, not sure if anyone else flies direct from Machester, and also Kayak to see whats on offer, i just hope i am brave enough to hold out, and not book first flight i see

Good luck original poster, what are your travel dates, then if i see a bargain i can let you know

I'd definitely consider flying indirect again - it wasn't a hassle at all. We had about 1hr 1/2 to kill after getting through immigration at Charlotte and then the flight down to Tampa took about 1hr 20. And of course as the second flight is a domestic you don't have to go through the long immigration queues again so it was straight through to baggage reclaim and away you go!

Ali - I'm sure there are other people on the DISboards who've flown with young children so hopefully they can share their experiences with you :goodvibes

We have no problem at all going indirect, our next trip will indirect again but travelling in Nov I doubt you will need to, you should get direct prices as cheap, they can't sell the seats at that time of year.

We would be looking to fly out of LGW anywhere from the 4-8 Nov. Not returning until 29 Nov. We have now decided to look for a 3-4 day cruise before our 3 weeks in Orlando. Never done a Disney cruise and not sure if maybe our two (14 and 17) are a bit to old for it. Depending on the price difference I may be able to talk my wife into flying indirect.
