Nov 2010 -- Even our Stroller has Christmas Lights! New 12/22 Lessons Learned #222

Rachel should have fun in the new Pooh area. If it is like Disneyland it is all Pooh and Friends themed merchandise. Honestly if it were not in the same area as Splash Mountain and have the Tigger Tails I probably wouldn't make it over there.

I hear ya!

Hey, just read this...guess we'll have to check it out.

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park this week, you’ll be the first to see a series of new enhancements to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The changes begin with a re-designed load area and a re-imagined gift shop called Hundred Acre Goods specializing in apparel, toys, plush characters and collectibles featuring Pooh and his friends.

Also this week, the attraction entrance will be temporarily relocated to the FASTPASS return lane while enhancements continue on several interactive elements being added to the queue. And beginning Thanksgiving week, young guests will start their adventure through the Hundred Acre Wood by jumping with Tigger, crawling through Eeyore’s house and playing in Rabbit’s garden before they board the attraction. And there’s more to come, with new elements debuting throughout the next month.

These enhancements will have a temporary impact on FASTPASS distribution which will not be available until the enhanced queue opens. Soon, we’ll resume FASTPASS distribution for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Mickey’s PhilharMagic where it will remain during Fantasyland’s expansion.

oh fun

Can't wait to hear all about it :goodvibes

Have fun! Best wishes for great weather!

I hope you all have a wonderful time!!

Just wanted to say thanks guys!!

I decided today to repack everything! The weather looks good 80-83 degrees during the day and 58 or 59 degrees at night. So that definitely means shorts and s/s tops during the day with a jacket for the AMs and then we'll switch to l/s tops and pants at night.

So now I'm making separate bags of clothes for AM and PM and will label everything so it's just easier to grab and go in the AM.

Rachel and Elie will take Minnie Mouse costumes to wear at MK.

Rachel is also taking her Daisy Doll (it's the mascot doll for our Daisy Girl Scout Troop that my co-leader made/sewed) so we can get pictures for the Girl Scout Journal.

I'm very excited for this trip and looking forward to the following:

1) Elizabeth's reactions to the characters. Hoping that she will at least be more tolerant if not hug them

2) Getting more autographs and pictures for Rachel's book. I'm hoping for Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Duffy Bear, Tiana, Prince Naveen and maybe even Beast, Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear.

3) Carriage ride through Ft. Wilderness

4) Rachel's reaction to Osborne Lights

5) MK Castle Lighting and Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner

6) Family Photo at Epcot

7) Autotrain Family Bedroom

We leave tomorrow about 1:05pm to pick up Rachel from school at 1:15pm. I'm going to pack lunch to save money and time.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Talk to you later!

Here is a pic of the girls' early Xmas presents -- Disney Luggage. I had seen them on-line previously but they were so expensive. Then my AAA store had them on sale with a $25 off coupon.

Rachel has the Tink and Elie has the Princesses

Inside -- they aren't big but they can hold their toys. Also, the wheels light up!

And away we go!! Note our color scheme -- red, black and white. The doll is the Girl Scout Daisy Doll mascot.

The luggage is so cute. And I love the teddybear in the picture too!! The polka dot jackets are adorable.

We got back safely yesterday...I was too tired to do Black Friday shopping so slept in today.

Did some shopping on-line at Walmart and then at Disney store until the site crashed...hopefully, it will be back up and I can place my order. There were a few things I was going to buy in WDW but only got 10% off, so I waited for BF 20% off sale.

Thanks! I'm loading my photos to PHotobucket now so I should have my first report either this w/e or next week!:thumbsup2

Today is 11/19 and I am mostly packed but as I knew, Jerry is not. I told him weeks and days before, "when are you going to pack?" and "you aren't going to wait until the day before to pack, right". Yes, I know I am obsessive about packing and start about 3 weeks in advance. He is "relaxed" and starts about 3 hours in advance. Drives me crazy!!

Next time I'm telling DH we are leaving at 12:10pm instead of 1:10pm and then we'd be on time!:rotfl2:

Well, on top of packing we have to go to the bank and our library also had two brand new Tangled books come in (I was first on the list!) so I wanted to pick them up to take along with us. I knew Rachel would love them and she did!

It's now 1:10pm and the truck is not loaded yet. So I pick up Rachel from school and bring her home and then pack sandwiches to eat on the way.

We left at 2:10pm ... not bad really...only one hour late. However, there were 2 accidents on I-95 near Richmond, VA so we lost about an hour there -- now 2 hours late! I'm driving and I hate all the stop-and-go traffic. We are all getting grumpy and tired and irritated with each other so we stop for dinner and bathrooms at a Burger King. We eat on the road. Kids fall asleep.

10:30pm we take a potty break (I was afraid Rachel would have an accident). They had a McD's and gas station attached to each other so even though we didn't get anything but gas and use the toilets, it was nice to walk around the store a bit.

We finally made our hotel at 12:40am -- two hours later than my prediction. But overall, no issues. We had a very nice room (Comfort Inn). I check for bed bugs, dirt, trash and don't find any, so Rachel and I sleep in one double bed and Jerry and Elie sleep in the other. We are asleep by 1:30am
