Nov. 16 2013 7-night Fantasy Eastern Carribean Cruise

I just found out yesterday that we are going to be sailing on November 16! My son is having his wish granted through the make a wish program! We have never been on a cruise, or even left Wisconsin for that matter, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome Aboard Missie! I think you already found us over on Facebook. We have quite an active group and everyone loves answering questions! Under the Events Tab, you'll see some of the things we are doing. Under the Files Tab you can find a Packing and Tip Document you can download. Under Photos there is a folder with images you can use as magnets for your door. Lots of info over there.

We just booked this cruise this p.m. I was waiting to see if we would be getting the same DVC deal as last year on the western Carib, but nothing, so I went to Dreams Unlimited and the price was close to what we paid last year, so here we are.

Sorry to say, I made a couple of mistakes on your forms. I double entered my info on the FE form because when I submitted it, the date came up Nov 17, and I thought I made a mistake so I went back and submitted it again. On the form with our cruise info, I entered VGT in the 'who are you with' section as opposed to the room # section. I hope you can correct it, thanks.

Also, I tried to link onto the Facebook page but when I got there it said it was closed and there were no tab or event files. I don't really know what I'm doing on Facebook so I didn't know if I did something wrong or if it's closed because I'm so late joining the group.

Anyway, I'm super excited to be joining everyone from the DISboards and can't wait! I'm going to read all 21 pages of posts tonight.

Hi Sue! No problems. I deleted the 2nd entry into the FE and I corrected the role call spreadsheet.

I saw that Kari added you to the Facebook Group so glad you got that figured out as well. We are quite a busy group over there. You will love our group.

My husband and I took advantage of the DVC deal out of NYC last year. We did the 8 night out of NYC in June and then we got an email a couple of weeks later for a DVC deal to Canada. It was too good to pass up so we sailed in Sept! Love those special offers. They should do them more often.

You know Sue, I've been a part of 3 other FE groups and I think I have only received 1 or 2 home made crafts. Everything else has been store bought. My own FE gift is mostly store bought with just one small homemade item. It's perfectly okay to buy things for the FE.

Something is going on with Facebook this morning. Posting is erratic. Sometimes it posts, sometimes it doesn't. I just saw someone request to be added, but when I tried to approve the person disappeared. If it was someone from here who was trying to be added, please keep trying. It's not us....Facebook is having issues today.

Is this how the "fish extenders" work?

I see Melinda already added herself to the FE. But Post 12 explains a lot. There is a link to add yourself to the FE... go ahead and do that ASAP Elaine. We are closing the FE list tonight, but I'll keep it open for you if you don't see my message tonight.

Post 12 also has where you can click to download the deliver list document I created or I can email it to you if you like. I'll update the list tomorrow and upload the most up to date list.

I was just googling it. Wow, I'm really excited. Dvc since 2001. I think I even tried to get on Facebook page. (Sorry, if its your family thing) but I'm listed under "homemade cakes". Thanks for your help!! Elaine
