Nov.1 2009 on the Wonder! it's never too early to chat!the

DD and I will be arriving with the :bride: and :scared: at 10:00.

Since I am bringing an impatient 3 year old, I should probably get there late for a faster, easier check in...but I am scared we'll miss something! Plus, I want to get the real vacation started as quickly as possible. My tentative plan it this: a quick breakfast at the hotel, take time checking in, hit the pool for a bit, lunch at Goofy's (after all the talk about the paninis I'm dying to try one!), then head to the sail away party.

Funny thing is that we have over 20 people going on this cruise and all I can see in my daydreams is me and my daughter and my sister! I'm just so looking forward to playing for four days straight. When we go to WDW we tend to plan every minute, so this cruise will be a nice change to vacationing spontaneously! :cloud9:

Does anyone else come close to tearing up when you think about this cruise?

Okay, so I am an organizing OCD freak. But I thought we should do a little head count and see if everyone is still on board. We haven't heard much from some of you and I am WONDERing if you're still out there.

I think I got everybody. Let us know if you're out there and what your latest thoughts are! My most current cruise thought is a drink of the day for me and a mickey ice cream bar for DD!

My most current thought about the cruise are "I NEED/want TO LOOSE SOME WEIGHT"!! and I will!
I think about our stateroom and get teary eyed! We are going to be in the exact same staterooms we were in 3 years ago! We loved them! The ocean, Castaway Cay, think about them daily currently.
I cried when I saw the ship for the first time! It was beyond Awesome:love:

The most recent thought I had about the trip was Thank goodness we are flying. This thought crosses my mind each and every time I get in the car with my 3yo LOL. We drove on our last trip and it was fine but she was 11 months then now that she's 3 she is crazy to drive with. I also think every day that I need to lose weight for this trip but currently I'm lacking on motivation. Sigh.....

I woke up this morning to everything covered in a thick layer of SNOW! WOW, this is APRIL don't you know, NO SNOW allowed in APRIL!!
I'm SO sick of it right now. We had some really spring weather in March, and now THIS!!:scared1: To make matters worse, it is STILL SNOWING!
I will now go meditate about Castaway Cay:goodvibes

Eww I am so sick of snow too. I think I would cry if it started snowing here LOL.

TJBaggott...I'm dying to know what those Canadian smarties taste like!!!

Disneynewbee...My DD is also 3. It will be nice if they can spend a little time together in the clubs! I'm pretty sure that my DD will enjoy them, as she loves her daycare and playing with other kids. If there is something exciting going on she isn't shy to jump right in.

My new obsession is the daily planner. I WANT ONE! I want to see what there is to do and when. I am a little concerned that the top things I want to do are going to happen during the wedding. I really want to have dinner at AP so I am hoping that is on tues or wed for us.

I am also feeling the need to lose a few pounds. I keep telling myself that they will somehow come off during the summer. :rotfl: I did get a new bathing suit this weekend but I have not yet dared to try it on!

Hoping to make some door magnets this week!! Anything cruise related is just plain fun to do!

Birdrav...miss you sis!

Spring fever has set in! I haven't been to this board for a while, but noticed this weekend that I missed a lot! I booked my airfare this past weekend (and managed to add another night onto our trip :rolleyes1 ).

We are now going to Disney from 10/30-11/1 (hoping to get tickets for MNSSHP and surprise the kids when we get there), then the cruise from 11/1-11/5, then back to the parks for 5 nights!

I can't say there is one thing about the cruise that I'm looking forward to more than anything else. I'm looking forward to every part of the cruise - the drinks, the kid clubs, the meals, the ports, the pools, the verandah - I just can't wait for the feeling of being on a cruise! :cloud9:

Is anyone bringing Fe's? If so I'll bring lots of extra SMARTIES!

I was reading over today our daily planner/navigator from our last trip and WOW, realized just now all the things we had missed.
Ok, I'm into free stuff or the chance to receive free stuff. I missed the Shopping presentation (about places to hit in Nassua), and for attending, could have received on of up to $200.00 in prizes. I missed the Onboard Art Auction where apparently there was complimentary champagne and martinis and a FREE $95.00 work of art just for ATTENDING!
All this took place just before the Sail away party which explains why we missed it. We didn't board till 2pm, then it was rush rush it seems getting stuff into our rooms, grabbing a bite to eat, visiting the pool for our kids (and then our two year old was kicked out of the mickey pool), then the emergency drill, then the PARTY!
Oh BRING IT ON NOW!

So, do you get a daily planner for the first day? Maybe they give you one when you check in? I really want to be aware of everything available to do so I can make sure I don't miss anything.

I can see already that we should have opted for a 7 day! hahahhaha
!!

If I remember correctly, these planners were waiting for us in our stateroom when we arrived. Everything was so new to us, and everbody wanting to hit the decks right away to check things out, plus we were starving as we had had no lunch, so we didn't really pay attention to the planners on the first day. (regret it now, but won't make that mistake again!) We didn't know what we were missing at the time though, we WERE having SO much FUN!

Hey guys.

I know that I have been MIA for a while, as has my sister-Mrs. JD.

The reason is, that for the past 2 weeks there have been some changes with our vacation and my wedding.

Neither will be taking place. The enagement has been called off. But, its OK.
Shaun and I are probably going to be together forever anyway. Just not ready to take the plunge.

I am pretty sure that family members who were planning to take this cruise, is going to cancel now.

I do hope that all of you enjoy your cruise!

Birdrav,

I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm sure things will work out in the end. It's good that you are taking the time to work out any problems / issues now. Good luck with everything!

I'm so sorry to hear that. Take your time to work out any issues and then have your fairytale wedding when your both ready. Marriage is a scary thing.

I'm sorry too Birdrav. My DD will be sad not see a wedding on board, but she will understand too.
Perhaps down the road.
Perhaps you all need a vacation anyway? (wishful thinking).
In any case, all the best to you!

Thought I'd stop by to tell everyone to have a great time on the cruise.

Now that we have cancelled the cruise, we are trying to plan a family vacation for me, DH and DD to go to FL...with, of course, a few days at the World! I'm leaning towards December, but we were just told that Dh's best friend since grade school is going to be getting married in July...AT DISNEY WORLD! The idea of FL in summer is insane!

I wish you all well and hope that you have the times of your life on this cruise.

Hello Everyone!! I have officially joined this sailing! :yay:My name is Jeanette and I will be traveling with my husband Brian, my pirate:son Logan (9), and my princess:daughter Kelsey (6). We where scheduled to sail on the 7 day Western during this week but decided to split up our vacation and enjoy both the parks and the cruise. Our family just came back from the Western in Nov. and r booked again with friends next year Nov. 2010 which is again a Western. This will be our 5th Disney cruise and this year we are surprising our children with our vacation. We have told them we r not going this year so we plan to wake them the morning we leave and tell them we r going to Disney World, then in Disney we will surprise them with the cruise the morning of Nov. 1st. Now its just keeping it all a secret!! Glad to have joined the group and am counting the weeks till we sail!!:thumbsup2

Welcome Jeanette, great to have someone else to know who will be on board. We are also doing a land and sea vacation. Will you then be in the parks on Halloween? We're doing the MNSSHP in MK on the 31st! Oh, and my name is Judy and I will be vacationing with my DH, and DD17, DS16, DS11 and DS5 (All but the 16 yr old will have a birthday before we cruise)

Mrs. JD, glad to hear you will be visiting WDW in the not too distant future. Wow, a wedding trip in the summer!! Buy some of those water/fan bottles they sell in WDW! :thumbsup2

So not sure how many of us from this "Cruise Meets" are still on for this trip,:confused3 and we'd love to hear from you.

I'd like to start up email buddies for the kids. My DS11 would love to have an email buddy, so he would have an friend to look forward to meeting on board and hanging out in the Kids Club with. If anyone has a child in the 9 - 11yr category who would like to have an email buddy, Pm me and we'll set them up to be cyber pals. :yay:

Also, is anyone interested in doing the FE gift exchange? :goodvibes

We will be arriving on Oct. 29th and spending the time before the cruise at the parks, we r also doing MNSSHP on the 31st. We did it last year on the 31st too and it was so much fun! We concentrated more on the rides and as the kids went from ride to ride they trick-or-treated. They got more than enough candy and our cruise left the following day too so we knew what ever candy they got we had to bring on the cruise. I am so happy that we will be going on the cruise since we canceled the 7 day cruise for this week, switched to doing 8 days in Disney and then I in decided to throw the cruise in the middle and do three days in Disney, the Disney Cruise, then 1 more night in Disney. I love the cruise so much I could not imagine not going at all so we have the best of both worlds with doing the parks and the cruise this year!

Sounds exactly what we are doing! The 29th, 30 and 31st in the parks. And ALL that candy??? I hear it can be a LOT! For adults too? There's 6 of us, so I guess we'll definately be sharing that with some of the CM's on board!
We plan on sleeping in a bit on Nov. 1st before heading to the port (we are driving ourselves). Then once the curise is over, we are heading back to the parks for a day before driving 23 hours home.
DH and I are already making plans to book another cruise while on the upcoming one. He'd LOVE to do a 7 night or longer cruise next time, no parks.
