Noticing high read counts on the boards lately

Where did all the human viewers come from or are these bots or something? Seem to be extraordinarily high numbers for relatively low post counts... feels off.

I read many threads just to see what they're about or what is being said. Usually go back to them multiple times depending on the content. I'd imagine many people do something like that as well.

Same here (or, I read it and then realize I have nothing to add to the discussion at that point).

For Me….I check in on my phone a lot throughout the day, But I don’t post much because I either don’t have time or I just don’t feel like doing it from the small keyboard on my phone. I’m actually on my phone right now sitting in a parking lot waiting for my husband to drop off his car to be worked on at the dealership. I do enjoy reading the different posts, and my poll, on my phone and people’s replies

I went a lot of pages back, looks about the same as now. I went back 10 pages, which was May 4, over a month ago (wow, what a change. I recall when we used to do a consistent 6-7 pages every day here on the CB). Numbers are similar to what is on page 1 and 2 here. Page 2 goes back to last Wednesday. .

It is much like a ghost town here compared to 20 years ago. But, people have more options now......multiple Facebook groups, some for much more specific Disney interests. Instagram, Twitter and Blue Sky as well.

Well to be fair, your screenshot from April shows a lot of threads that are only about 1-4 pages long, whereas a lot of the threads from your second screenshot are hundreds of pages long, some with even over a thousand.

I will have a hard time comparing what I am seeing vs what you have there. I ignore the 3 heavy duty questioners of which they (mostly just one of them on that sampling) have the overwhelming majority of threads there.

What is your deal? Is there a reason you think I am invested in you? Personally, I rarely look for posters but you do seem to be oddly fixated to share your feelsies.

Some are but some are not. objectively my thread isn't all that interesting and yet has a high number of reads and neither are some of the others. It is a curious thing, nothing more and nothing less.

There are certain posters that will get more or less interest/clicks and certain topics that sound interesting or not.

As an example, your April screenshot shows 8 posts started by Neapolitan Icecream. That’s over 1/4 of the posts on the page. So a significant amount. Now I like him well enough, he seems like a super nice, super chill guy, but I notice he posts a lot of silly fluff and I find myself rarely opening up one of his threads. Many regulars probably aren’t clicking on titles such as, My Dog Dreams of Food, or Aw Boo. So, he generally gets fewer views.
