Nothing for granted

I work for TSA and occasionally answer questions on a few of these boards. I ran across this news article on Yahoo today.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Airport security workers found a loaded handgun stuffed inside a brown teddy bear that a 10-year-old boy was carrying on a trip home after his family's Florida vacation, authorities said Thursday.

We are constantly being tested to see if there are any holes. Yet another good example as to why we don't take anything for granted. Bears, shoes, canes whatever. Anything "normal"can be made dangerous.
Apparently this bear was a present from another child in the same hotel.

Hi ~ I saw that article too.. wow-weee-wow

They had a photo of this poor unassuming teddy-bear ~ apparently someone gave it to the kid at his hotel.

The gun concealed inside was fully loaded with no safety - it could have gone off anytime, imagine on a aircraft at 32,000 feet?

>>^..^<<

Imagine the child if it had gone off pointing the wrong way or in the car, at the airport. I hope we find out more and track down whoever was responsible.

Good grief! Thanks for the tidbit on MCO!
