I wish Disney would come up with something fun for "big princesses"! DBF is going "oh boy..." as I write this, but it's true! I know I'm not the only one who wishes they had a Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique for adults! Maybe one day... princess:

I always joke with my fiancee that I would wear a Belle dress if only I could find it in my size...except I'm not joking! He's gone so far as to offer to buy me the gloves, purse and tiara to start my collection...he's surprisingly supportive of my obsession with Belle.... :rotfl:

I agree, I was considering even making a reservation at the boutique for myself, but I really don't think it's worth almost $50, (let's face it, I'd need my nails done to.) But if there was more adult-themed ones. . .

even though we can't fit into the princess outfits, my 2 friends and i (all 20 yrs old) each bought princess tiaras in wdw for our last few trips there. we still get to feel like royalty and also get some great and hilarious comments from both cast members and guests!

LOL I own a Belle dress...Check E-bay, they always have princess dresses in adult sizes for Halloween. Last year I was The wicked queen, actually bought this costume at a local costume shop.

Actually, I am trying to find a costume for my daughter who is a size 16 but you simply can't find them! they all stop at 14 for some silly reason! Unfortunately I can't sew or I could maybe let one out some. She wants to be one of the princesses also...anyone have any ideas? :confused3

Us too! Only we are 40 yr olds!!!
Super fun. We'll be doing it again this November.
Who the heck cares what any other guest thinks of us anyway!! I highly recommend this.
This gives me a great idea, maybe we'll do each others hair up too, :cheer2: :cool1: :wizard: with a special up-do and glitter. A girl can't be too glamorized, there is no such thing. As Dolly Parton once said "it costs a lot of money to look this cheap!" Ah, the fun!

I'm in! I love dressing up. I own several adult sized costumes, including princesses. :) Of course, they don't let adults wear costumes in the parks except for MNSSHP, so I either play dress up in my apartment or I wait until Halloween. You'd think they'd do *something* at the botique for grown women who love princesses, even if it wasn't the full makeover.

I can actually get into the large sizes on the princess dresses that they sell in the park (barely), but the waistlines are so high on me, they makes me look pregnant! And the dresses are still much too short.

Disney should offer some sort of program where you get to play dress-up in a princess dress and wig, maybe have someone do your makeup, and get photos taken. I bet a lot of ladies would pay for a chance to be in Cinderella's shoes!

wow what a great idea... i know it might sound "cheesy" but me and my DD 4 would love to play princesses together and have out photos done!!!

Lets hope Disney bosses are reading this!

You know, I actually remember when my family and I visited in 1994 we did this thing at MGM where we got dressed up in giant costumes and had a picture taken. My father was the Beast and I was Belle. They superimposed Lumiere and a few other characters into the shot as well.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to stick to wearing my tiara around the MK!

Hi! I just posted a thread yest. about my four DGD's - ages 12 - 15 - who want to wear tiaras. Well, I just might join them! I wore bear ears at Boyds Bears Barn, so, I might as well wear a tiara also.

Isn't the spa at SSR the adult version?

Although the spas are beautiful and a wonderful experience (I've had treatments at the Grand Floridian Spa), I'm specifically referring to a dress-up, costume-type princess experience for adults-something to rival the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique for the little ones. Photo-ops and all! Yeah, I know it's silly, but it would appeal to some of us out there! princess:

Count me in! I actually have a Belle costume that my Mom made me years ago. I'd be thrilled to wear that to the parks!!! :cloud9:

I agree!! Even though I have 2 boys, you can still look and feel like a Princess at any age!!! Right?

 :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I knew I was not alone out here. I actually got my DM (78) and myself (40) princess crowns to wear at the Princess Breakfast! It was a total blast...I advocate the wearing of a princess crown while enjoying Disney :cheer2: :cheer2:

Seems to me what would fit the bill best is a ball. A real period ball; with waltzes, and dance cards, and flowers. There are lots of venues at the resorts where such a thing could be done, and they could do them seasonally.
One wouldn't even have to wear a true princess costume; a floorlength ballgown and gloves are sufficient.

Personally I think grown women need more occasions to get really dressed up in formal gowns. I think that the dearth of real-life formal-dress occasions for grownups contributes hugely to wanting to dress up like a Disney princess -- it seems like the only chance one gets to wear a ballgown now happens before one is 17 years old.

oh i would love this so much!!!mum and i always comment on the fact that the princess dresses are never made in big girls sizes!!!

everytime I go to Disney, the light up one....I even wear it outside of Disney as well. People always ask if it is my birthday or something....it's easier to say yes than to explain that I'm wearing the tiara just cause I want to feel like a princess for the day... princess:
