Nothing available for 12-5 to the 10th??

A realative tried to make a reservation for December 5th through the 10th and there was nothing available.

Anyone else have this problem. They were looking for a Studio.

I know this is a really popular time for DVC owners, due to low point values and Christmas decorations etc.

There is a resort availability board on the DVC forums and only BWV and one other resort are showing no reported availability for studios around that time. That's pretty bad if there is no availability at ANY resort for that time period.

It is not surprising. Early December is one of the most popular DVC travel times. Low point usage, Christmas decorations are up, Candlelight Processonal. Most members, including myself, book their home resorts durin the 11 month priority window. I would be surprised if there WERE studio availability.

Remember, the Resort Availability board has only been running about a month, nd it depends upon people reporting using the specific format so the automated program can process it. Most older members have had their December plans set for months. Only those who have never traveled to DVC at that time are the likely callers, now. If you want to try for December, book your home resort in January!

Yep, December is a crazy DVC time! Chance are you wont get in even if you waitlist. Sorry......

I would agree with everyone above. December is a very busy time for DVC and finding a place to stay at any resort will be tough. Good Luck...........

I went ahead and made a reply post to go and add those dates to the report.

We do plan on making some changes to make it easier to report things like no studios available at any of the resorts.

The first two weeks of December are hugely popular with DVC members. It can often be harder to get a reservation during that time than during the peak holiday week(s). The points for those dates are the lowest of any time of year, plus you get the bonus of all of the holiday decorations/festivities. Booking at only 3 months out is going to be VERY tough but perhaps the waitlist might offer some possibilities. At this point I'd waitlist for a studio at any WDW DVC property and take whatever came up, if anything does.

Just wanted to add that we "reporters" have to be careful when we say there aren't any studios at any resort for a range of dates.

Unless we ask about each day in the range separately, we only know that at least one day in the range was sold out. And it might not be the same day at evey resort.

The Resort Availaility Forum is only as good as the reports we post. As the info in the Welcome Directions Sticky says, the data is not official and not 100% reliable.

I have processed the December thread, so the dates are now reflected in the table.

What Carol says is also true, there may be some individual days available, but not an entire stay for the dates reported. It is all based on the information that our posters contribute.
