DH said about maybe buying a notebook to take on holiday.

Does anyone take one to put up their reports?

If so, how does it work, re the internet connection, if you cannot pay for it at your hotel??

Not actually a stupid question at all! There is a sticky on the resorts board about resort internet connection and as you will see, you are not the only one. I also asked about it a few months back. Here is the link.

I have considered getting a netbook instead of taking my full sized laptop, but I have everything I need on here so I decided to just take the one I know. Of course if I suddenly come into money before the trip I will buy a little one and the I won't have to take turns with DD on mine

I have didn't take mine with before, but after reading everyone's reports while they were stranded with vocanic ash it changed my mind completley and I now see it as an essential item.

We always take a netbook with us, not just for Dising while we are away but also for work (we run our own business and need to be in contact all the time)

It's very easy to get connected usually. The sticky that was recommended above is a great place to start!

We purchased one in Walmart on our last trip (they had a offer that was too good to turn down)

We have taken it away with us pretty much everywhere, I love the fact that because it is so small it is no hassle to carry as hand luggage.

You can pick up a netbook here for around £200 so not a massive outlay, provided you will be making some use of it at home - or you are a regular traveller.
