Not understanding logistics of 8AM ADR

Hello,

I have 2 ADRs--an 8AM Akershus (day 1) and 8AM Crystal Palace (day 3).

We will be staying outside of Disney in a home rental. We will not be able to acquire tickets until that morning. My brother serves in the USAF and will be coming from Germany. He will probably get them from SOG the day before (he cannot seem to find any at his base). So, to get into Epcot on Day 1 we will have to "activate" the tickets with him there. So, if we arrive at the ticketing counter area at say 7:30 I assume it will be fine? I assume parking will be open and good to go? The turnstile area will be easy find at that time?

In terms of Crystal Palace, what time should we be parking in the lot in order to make this reservation? I am finding the time from the car to the turnstile quite confusing.

Essentially, when you have an ADR that starts before park opening there is a gate that allows you to enter before your ADR time. In Magic Kingdom, it's usually on the far left. You then walk to the restaurant and check in.

For your CP ADR at MK, I would arrive at the parking lot an hour before opening...
You have to park, go under the monorail overpass, and either take a boat (beautiful ride) or the resort monorail (MK monorail not yet running) to MK. The resort monorail has 2 stops prior to MK.

From the monorail station at MK you need to walk about 150 yards (give or take) to the left hand turnstyle and give your names to the
CM who checks against the list of pre park ADRs.
I actually see nothing "disaster" about this plan. Just make sure you pick up your tickets at SOG the night before you go to the park.

For your ADR at Epcot, parking is closer and easier (thus making your first day a bit easier), but you will still need to be there about 45 minutes prior to park opening. It's quite a distance from the entrance of Epcot to Akershus.

If the tickets are purchased at SOG they are already activated so that will save you a few minutes.
