Not to rain on everyone's 40% off parade... but....

Can this be booked as room only or just a package?

has to be a package. I have only tried to book packages in fact. I think I will try to book something as room only with the B code and see what I am told. Will report back

I got the 40%:confused last night and ask about with a code. The Cm even went further himself to find the correct code to get me the 40% .I ask about a pin # and he said it was not needed with this code it was pretty much for general use.So how can Disney take away a discount that was offered to me by A cast member.....:confused3 :confused3

See, this sort of post is why I wonder if people are calling for the PIN code, are actually being booked using the public WWOD promo, but think they were booked using the PIN code? I don't think this is what happened in every case, but it's possible that it did in some cases.

If you're booked using the WWOD discount, then you shouldn't have to worry about your price going up to rack rate in all this mess. If you were booked using a PIN code you weren't eligible for, then you might need to worry. I mentioned this on another thread, but it applies here - Last year, I booked a package. Because of misinformation on my part and an honest mistake on the CMs part, I was booked using a great discount. Turns out that I wasn't eligible for it, though. Disney called back and said I could pay rack rate or cancel the reservation. In fact, it was my original CM who called and it seemed pretty obvious that supervisors were hovering right behind her and were not at all pleased. Luckily, we all understood the problem and I had been prepared to pay the regular package price to begin with, so it got resolved.

All I'm saying is don't fool yourself into thinking they won't call. We won't know if they will this time until they do, but the PR argument won't hold up. Maybe something else will do it, but it won't be that.

(Before anyone asks, the 'accidental' discount I got was for a very un-busy time of year, so it was not cancelled in hopes of getting top dollar for teh room....)

Good luck to everyone!

Boomhauer-have you tried calling CRO, asking for 10th-whatever & NOT giving the code...just ask if there are any discounts available?

And yeah, it is a package code. Are you not at all interested in a package?

Hi I just called to inquire about dates in December that fall in the 40% timeframe. I told the CM we had just been in Dec. and would like to return again in Dec-07 I gave my dates18-22). She pulled me up in the computer system had me verify me home address, she told me my email address and she was glad to see that I have visited WDW over 30x.I told her I was specifically calling because I had read about the 40% discount code on the internet. She told me yes there was a 40% but it was attached to a pin number and had been "targetd by the marketing dept" She offered to check prices for me but said I had NO pin attached to my name. I thanked her and said NO I would only be interested in returning next Dec. with a discount. I then took the survey at the end of the call. I gave the CM all high marks she was very nice and seemed to know what I was talking about. But I said that I had not been satisfied with my reason for calling,so IF they pay any attention to these surveys(and it seems I get one EVERY time I call) they should be calling me to ask WHY I was not satiafied.:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 So those of you who are posting with NO LUCK,here is another story of NO PIN#!
