But has anyone "spotted/bled" in week 7 in PG and gone on to have a healthy baby?

I did spot with # 1, but no bleed. When I was pg with # 2 last fall, I got to close to the same time i'm coming up to now, 7.5 weeks and I M/C'd.

I did have a blood draw last Friday 9/10 to test my BETA and progesterone, and tomorrow AM I go in for the same, but I just wanted to hear some encouraging stories.

I know I can't do much to change things if something is wrong, but i'm staying very optomistic. Maybe it's just low progesterone and they can supplement me, however that's just a guess.

Thanks in advance.

I did. They told me that sometimes your body will think it is time for your cycle and you can spot.

My Sister did. She spotted a lot! Her son is now 3 1/2. :)

I've never been PG myself, but I'm pretty close with my SIL and she's about 10 wks now and has mentioned spotting to me. She was really worried. But her doctor has said it's okay, normal.

I never spotted with either pregnancies.

I think I was in wk 6, and it was much heavier than spotting, but only lasted a few hours. I had to go have an ultrasound the next day but all was fine. They said it was probably just the embryo "digging in", that they expel blood just like a mole digging a new burrow. Whatever the reason, my son is just fine!

I've heard that it happens some times. It could very well be a progesterone difficiency, I had that problem and had to get progesterone daily until I was 13 or 14 weeks along. Sending good thoughts your way.

Spotting can have many causes - most completely normal. Try not to worry. In my case, I was diagnosed with placenta previa (which went away on it's own). I'm sure it's fine but do check with your doctor, if only to set your mind at ease.

I spotted some throughout my first pregnancy.

pm'd you.

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts. KristiKelly I sent you back a PM :D

I will wait and see what the Dr. says once my results are back, hopefully by mid to late week. The more people I talk to, they seem to all feel that in most cases spotting is more common than not.

I didn't, but I've heard of it quite a bit. It is scary I can imagine, but checking with your doctor is always a good thing.

I spotted (actually a little more than spotted) twice with my second pregnancy and had a healthy baby. The first time was at 6-7 weeks. They did do ultrasounds after each time and everything was fine. There are many reasons why it could happen. It would be a good idea to talk with your doctor. I hope everything goes well!

I did - the Doctor said my cervix was full of blood vessels and I couldn't have sex without spotting!

I had more than spotting with two pregnancies -- DS10 and DS16. It was a one-time thing with one of them and went on periodically for months with the other. I also had had miscarriages before each and was alarmed. Hang in there!

a friend of mine was bleeding in the first few weeks - ended up being very healthy twins - something about higher than normal HCG levels - bacause of two

My sister did, and I have a coworker who said she actually had several regular periods during her pregnancies! Definitely let your doc know just in case, though.

I didn't (so far!) but I've heard many stories, as I post on a pregnancy board. Most all of them ended well - usually those who miscarried had more than a bit of spotting.

With my second I started to gush blood kinda like when you pee heavy so it lasted a few seconds when I was 2 months along and it happened again a few weeks later. They said the umblicalcord sometimes detaches itself or something like that and I had my son 7 months later and he was healthy. I hope everything is ok

:( I hope that doesn't mean bad news for my SIL. She had some problems before, has had several surgerys and was told once that she'd never be able to concieve. :( They were overjoyed to find out she was pregnant. I really hope her spotting is nothing to worry about like her doctor said. :(

I did with both of mine and when on to have healthy babies. I didn't have cramping but light spotting about 6-7 weeks for a couple days each.

I work an nurse advice line and we get a lot of calls from women about this. We have them speak with their doctors so I can't give you the information they are given but unless they have both spotting and cramping we have them rest at home.

Keep positive thoughts and remember we are all pulling for you to have a healthy baby.
