NOT the best trip:( And I HATE the busses. Never again.

Photopass not very present and none would take a magic shot. Also some only took one or two shots and they are not that great. Some of them were really rude too.

Got home thursday after an 90 minute ME ride to the airport because our driver was confused and circled the parking lot at ASMu for 20 minutes. We almost missed our flight. Got there 15 minutes before it took off.

I got sick when we got home.

So glad its over.

The only thing I agree with is Photopass....We were only able to take one magic shot and it didn't even end up showing up! We feel they only took one or two shots too and they were also up and down. I like them more horizontal. We also paid for the PhotoPass CD beforehand.

As for your Magical Express ride, that is not possible that you got there 15 minutes before your plane left. They set up a time 3 hours before you leave and 90 minutes is an hour and a half of time before you left.

Im sorry you all got sick.

I'm sorry you had a bad vacation but the part I don't get is that you took a baby that was projectile vomiting into a restaurant. Who did you get outvoted by? Kids have no say in this matter, this is when a parent has to step up & say sorry kids but the baby is sick (& so are most of the rest of you) and we need to go back to the hotel. You knew the baby had a stomach bug, you knew it wasn't just something that he ate, and you still went. No wonder these bugs spread like crazy. Especially since its a buffet so you're family had to go up in line & touch all the utensils. This is exactly why my DH hates buffets!

Maybe Mickey could see that your kids were sick and he didn't want to catch it.

this is what I was thinking. :scared1:

I'm lucky my kids don't get sick... but IF they did I'd keep em home from whatever (school, vacation, dinner reservations, theme parks).

Perhaps we have stumbled upon patient zero re: the Disney flu bug going around the parks.

Yup.... buses have waits. Food is expensive... but really? Did you not know that?

I'm confused.... I was sure this must be a first timer!

What is a magic shot?

It drives me crazy when people complain about the transportation. If you dislike the buses etc. then rent a car.

Also, this is why the stomach bug aka norovirus is prevelent at WDW, because everyone still brings their sick children and themselves to the parks and the virus is very contagious.

Ok so you took a vomiting kid to a restaurant full of kids and then got PO'd about the bill?! Seriously lady - get a grip!

And as far as your waiter being rude, the PP photographer being rude, the characters being rude, etc. - I gotta say I think your attitude has a lot to do with it.

Good Quote! I wonder how many other familys trip where ruined by sickness from the OP's family!

It seems the OP expects to be treated like royality all the time.

So your kids vomited all over the buses on several occassions, if I read that correctly, and the bus drivers were GREAT about it but your big complaint about the trip was how awful the buses were? I don't get it.

I'm sorry they all got sick on the trip, that sucks. But honestly, I think your viewpoint of what happened was distorted by the fact that you were also getting sick. It doesn't really sound like anything actually went wrong. Disney upheld their end of the bargain every time but the one extremely late bus (and one late bus over an entire week is actually pretty good. I promised myself, personally, I wouldn't complain about buses unless we had three or more major issues)--and honestly, if you had to wait an hour and 15 minutes and got there at 11, that means you didn't even hit the bus stop until 9:45... if you were serious about getting on TSM without a line, shouldn't you have been out there at 8? Just saying...

Storie with projectile vomiting in them seldom turn out well. Of course that scene in Hot Tub Time Machine where the squirrel got taken out by the PVing was sweet! :)

I would also have to agree that a little research would have saved you alot of frustration. :yay:

I'm sorry your family got so sick. That is always frustrating especially on vacation. That being said, I think that the illness really colors your memories of the trip. Its hard to remember the good things that happened when you're not feeling well. I hope that your next trip is better.

It's ok to complain, if it's deserved. Buses are not for everyone. Renting a car is probably better for the OP.

SO true!! I cannot tell you how many obviously sick people were walking around the parks, coughing all over the place...When I am sick, I STAY HOME!!

DH & I caught the 24 hour stomach bug last week while at disney...Guess what we did?? Stayed in our room for 24 hours, THEN lysoled the whole pace AND left a note for mousekeeping! We are the opposite extreme :rotfl:
I would hate to think I passed on my illness.

I don't know why, but all of a sudden, I'm feeling quite queasy.....I don't think I've ever seen a thread with more references to vomit.

The bus situation has always been problematic. If you miss out on things you paid for, it's not really free. After our first trip, we wouldn't stay on property again. You can get so much more for your money elsewhere, even considering the cost of renting and parking a car. I think I'd feel trapped if I didn't have a car in Orlando.

I was kind of wondering about this too. In all the families I know Mama has the final say! Who the heck lets their be a vote about taking an ill child to a restaurant? And even if the rest of them wanted to stay, why not grab a taxi and take the ill child back to the hotel for some care?:confused3

Though I guess sometimes in the heat of the moment so to speak, people just don't think things thru well.

Why is it that anytime anyone states a negative opinion about Disney people just all over them?
I don't think anyone has posted anything that puts Disney up there on a pedestal. The vast majority of the things that went wrong for the OP were due to her expectations and/or misinformation.

Maybe the busses ran slow because they had to go back to the hub and have all the vomit cleaned up.
