Hi

We would like to book a night at one of the hotels (August) as we want to visit both parks but also get the early entry to H Potter for hotel guests. (hopefully could get it on both mornings) Would we be best booking the RPR as from the map I have seen it looks a little closer to IOA than the Hard Rock?

I`m a little unsure of walking distances, please can anyone advise me how long it takes to walk from RPR to Island of Adventure and then to Universal Studio. Also how long the walk is from the HRH to Island of Adventure.

Any recommendations for the RPR? we stayed at the Hard Rock last time and it was fine... but after all its just a bed for one night and RPR is slightly cheaper.

Also please can you point me in the right direction of breakfast! last time we did the B & B package at the Hard Rock but this time thought we would go our and forrage for something to eat! is anywhere open at breakfast time?

All help and advice will be very much appreicated. Many thanks :confused3

PS I have an AA Card (UK) and also we joined Loews First 3 years ago (just did the one visit to Hard Rock)

The walk from Hard Rock to IOA is pretty close to the walk from RPR to IOA.

At Hard Rock, you can grab a quick breakfast at Emack and Bolios or a full breakfast at the Kitchen.

At RPR, you can grab a quick breakfast at the Bula Bar or a full breakfast at the Island Restaurant.

We grab a quick continental breakfast just inside the IOA gates. There is a bakery on the right that offers a great deal for breakfast (drink/muffin or crossiant and fruit cup). We will be going there again in Aug., after doing the early entrance to WWOHP.

Not sure if these are open when the onsite guests are let into the park before 8 am. Perhaps someone else knows for sure.

Thanks for your replies, didn`t know about the bakery.

Think we are more or less decided on the Hard Rock - we have 13 year old and she did like the pool last time we were there and of course the whole theme of the place.

As far as walking goes the time difference between the two isn't even enough to worry about. Nothing in the US/IOA complex is so far away that any reasonably healthy person couldn't walk from point A to point B easily. When you consider the mileage you pile up in a typical day of touring the distance from any hotel is nothing.

I figure that bakery probably won't be open for the early entrance. We plan to go do WWOP and then work our way back to the bakery. By that time it should be open.

Trying to plan our budget for our trip next April....so, for anyone that was there around Easter this year..do you remember what the rates for HRH and RPH were?? We're there just before Palm Sunday (which starts NE's spring vacation time), so I figure I am looking at the highest possible rates. I do have AAA and will most likely have an AP before that as well.
