Normally I post on the Resort are of the DIS Boards but recently discovered this area. I didnt think the following message was appropriate (i.e. off topic) for the Resort Board where other users "know" me so I hope ya'll dont mind me posting it here.
A few days back there was a thread about writing and several members shared their aspirations or current writing jobs. In my post I shared with the group that recently I had the opportunity to pitch a treatment I created and wrote to a production company for a television pilot.
Currently I am involved in another project that is Internet based, this project also revolves on pitching a television treatment. Not only is this project important for my personal growth as a writer but also important as the majority of pitch contents/festivals revolve around screenwriters, not television writers.
At this point in the contest we are requested to invite individuals to participate in the polling portion of the contest, which will eventially be made into a documentary style television show. Perhaps some of you are familiar with Project Greenlight aired on HBO. This contest is similiar however it is focused on televisio writers and the creation of a pilot, not a movie.
If anybody would be interested in participating or know somebody else that would please feel free to contact me at NicoleHino@hotmail.com. The deadline to register for participation is Aug. 18th and would require just a few moments of your time, perhaps 30 minutes or so all Internet based.
For some reason I am having trouble with the private message feature. I know I have one waiting for me in there however when I pull it up it is blank.
