I have a DS-9 who has a plethora of invisible issues that qualify him for the DAS, but a person walking by and seeing him would not necessarily realize this unless we were in the middle of a "situation." We recently did the WOC Dessert Party (which was wonderful, by the way), but I had a question - did the CM who was our "server" have access to our files that are linked to our tickets? Only asking because my DAS DS-9 asked the CM for some hot chocolate while the CM was talking to me. I apologized for my son interrupting and asked him (my son) to do so as well, but the CM told me he had a brother who was special needs and completely understood and then knelt down next to my son to interact with him on his level and even brought him some "special" items to keep him occupied. PLEASE understand I am not knocking the CM - he was fantastic! and could not have been better, I was just curious how he knew because most people would have thought my DAS DS-9 was just being a rude child and not realize that he does not pick up on basic social cues. I am assuming he saw our file, but was just wondering if instead he was incredibly perceptive. TIA!

I do not think that he know your son had a DAS card ( this is my guess) but like he said know your son was someone with specie needs

If he has a brother with similar issues, he might have picked up on it. I doubt he saw anything.

I agree with Allison. That CM likely is more aware of the little cues that most others wouldn't recognize. I'm glad he helped give your son a great experience.

Actually at Disneyland, I think they might have known he had a DAS card. It is tied to your ticket and I think it gets tied to your account since they are now good for a couple of months at a time (can't remember how many off the top of my head) and your account is how you make reservations.

the same is at WDW the DAS is tied to your hard ticket or MB witch can get you in to the park also it is good for 60 days and after that they can tell you had a DAS card in the past.

Why would a server have any need/ability to access your park tickets during a dessert party? Isn't WOC at Disneyland? Do they have magic bands there? How would your 'file' be on your dessert ticket?

The CM may not have been making any assumptions at all. His comment, based on your wording, could have been simply about kids interrupting and his having a brother with some special needs gives him a little extra experience with a particular kid who interrupts even more than usual.
