lots of us on the UK trip planning board fly into Atlanta airport on indirect flights to disney world (and some of us fly on Delta)...
so i thought this might be interesting (and a wee bit alarming....i mean, seriously? an air traffic controller joking? causing a plane to go around???? )

Rather stupid, but fortunately not dangerous. However, I would hope anyone in that position who abused their power in that way would be sacked. A very stupid misjudgment IMO.

actually, according to a Delta pilot who posted this on his FB page (he's a friend of mine), it is dangerous. I'll take his word for it.

(it's also rather costly - the cost of a fly around is nothing to be sneezed at - perhaps they should make the controller pay the cost of the fuel. Might make him think twice next time)
