not sure I totally understand GP codes?

I'm not sure I really understand about availability of rooms for discounts. I do understand that only a certain number of rooms per resort are available for each GP code that is released. My question is: If all the rooms in a certain category are booked before a discount is released, than are any of those room available for the discount? I'm thinking of the treehouses, since there aren't as many of those rooms.

No, Disney is trying to fill empty rooms by offering discounts. So if all or most of the rooms in a certain category or at a certain resort are already booked, there would be no reason for Disney to offer a discount for that room type/resort.
