Hi all,

My family is hoping to travel to WDW in October. We are interested in the Not So Scary Halloween Party. We are staying for 4 nights on site and obviously paying for 4 days worth of park admission. Do we have to pay admission for the party over and above the daily park admission?
Thanks in advance.

It does cost extra to attend MNSSHP, but it is very worth the extra money. We enjoy dressing up as a family and trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom. Wait times for rides are much shorter and there are all kinds of rare characters to meet. The Hallowishes fireworks show is awesome, but the Boo to You Parade is, to me anyway, the best parade Disney has!!! I'm looking forward to attending again this year!

Totally worth it. You get to see really rare characters like the princes and Flynn rider. (He's a hot ticket so plan to be in line forever, but he was so worth it) plus if you have little ones, you can go home with a TON of candy! And when we went this past October , the lines were walk on.

One of the best events at disney. Best parade by far. Yes it's additional cost for the ticket but well worth it. I have to say I am not a Halloween kind of person at all but love this event. I like it better then the christmas party.

We love the Halloween party! Note that although the party officially starts at 7pm, they customarily start allowing party guests in around 4pm with a party ticket only. If you attend ONLY the party from 4-midnight, you only need to purchase the party ticket and do not need to use a day off of your park ticket.

If you do not have a party ticket, they will be roping off bridges and paths and asking those without party wristbands to leave by 7.

we are planning a trip for September and doing the Halloween party too. to save some money, this is what we are doing.....I am getting 2 day park tickets instead of 3 day. since you can get in with your party ticket at 4 pm, you don't really need to use a day off your park tickets (unless you want to be in the park before 4). we are planning on taking it easy that morning at the resort and then just going into MK with our party ticket at 4 and staying until the park closes at midnight. just pretty much trading the cost of park tickets for the party tickets...

Yes, as others have stated, an extra cost, but very worth it. I only write in to remind you to check in after the party starts with Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom to get the special powers card that is only issued at the party.
Don't forget to wear a costume. And, enjoy trick-or-treating along with your children.

This is what we are doing as well except we are doing 2 days with park hoppers as we like to do all 4 parks. We will also be doing 2 parties and using those days to sleep in, pool time, etc and be at MK by 3:30-3:45. We do some rides and get in line for favorite characters by 6pm. It saves enough money over 4 day tickets to cover both parties and gives us some down time. we love MNSSHP!

We are planning an October trip as well.
Does anyone know how much the tickets cost for the party?

That's kind of pricey when you have a family of 5, is it worth the cost?

I love the Halloween Party! It is pricey, no doubt. But I think Hallowishes is the best fireworks show Disney puts on. Plus I love the special parade too. And then they have trick or treat trails, beautiful decor, and there is something special about riding The Haunted Mansion during one of the parties.:goodvibes

I wouldn't go in September or October and not go to a MNSSHP!!!

While the cost for the party is extra, if you don't want to go to the parks before 4:00 then you don't have to have a separate park admission ticket. There have been times that we flew in midday and went to the party but didn't use a day off of our park tickets. The party officially starts at 7 but you are allowed admission at 4:00 and can enjoy the parks.
