We are going to the Not So Scary Halloween Party and I have seen some great costumes. What are some great costumes you have seen at Not So Scary Halloween? Maybe give me some ideas for something.

I saw one family dressed as the Flintstones. Fred, Wilma, and a lady in an ECV with a canopy as Wilma's mother in the Flintstone car. I've seen an awesome Ursula. And last year we saw a very good Smee.

Last year, this was our version of "Peter Pan". My mom was Peter Pan, my step-dad was Captain Hook, DD8 was Tinkerbell, DD11 was Wendy, DD16 was Princess TigerLily, and DH and I were members of Hook's pirate crew. pirate:

We got lots of compliments! :woohoo:

DH and I have ghostly couple costumes that we wore 2 years ago and plan on wearing them again this year. A few people even wanted to have their picture taken with us.

My aunt, uncle and cousins went last year as the crew from gilligans island, they looked great and got lots of comments

Last year: DD12 was a tween bee: she wore a bee style t shirt with bee antennas, I was MS.Twister and had a piece of the Twister sheet made into a sashe and my trick or treat bag had the spinner on it and it glowed in the dark.

We saw a family of Dalmations with Cruella, Wilma Flintstone, Princess Leia. if you go to the search button and type in MNSSHP costumes, there are a couple discussion threads with pictures.

These all sound like great costumes, i have alot of ideas now. Last year me and my best friend were ga bulldog fans, going all out. This year we want to top that and make it great. :)

I am trying to figure out what to do with my two little guys. They have plenty of ideas, but I don't want them to sweat to death or freeze. If we're going in September, what does it tend to be like at that time of night?

I would say upper 70s or lower to mid 80's i think, its kinda warm but not like really hot like during the day but its nice. For the little guys if u didnt wanna dress them up in full costumes or if u didnt wanna wear a full out costume then go to the pirates league before the party, its a great way to get into the party theme and its always fun for the family cause anyone can do it at any age.:)

This is my youngest DD’s costume from last year. She was a fairy and had fairy wings attached to the back of her wheelchair.

Some friends at our church told us that they saw a family dressed as the gang from Scooby-Doo. I thought that sounded pretty cool.

ETA: Just remembered another one. I don't know if it was just for Halloween or for MNSSHP, but there was a lady who's son went as the "Can you hear me now?" guy from the Verizon commercials. He had the outfit, glasses, and phone, and everyone else was dressed like the electrician, phone repair people. (What are they called anyways?)

This was us last year...Tour Guide Barbie, Ken, Potato Heads, Bo Peep and Woody.

This year the four of us are going to be Tweedledee and dum with Alice and the Mad hatter!
