Hi gang! We JUST got back in from the World! I'm going to give a brief report and start to download photos.
As a first time value goer the verdict is - *drum roll* we LOVED Pop! My kiddos thought it was so much much fun (and I know so many people say that, but I didn't figure my kids would really care; they thought it was just great) the rooms were spotless and in good condition (no signs of wear & tear). We were first placed in building 2 (50's) but asked if anything was available in 60's and got 2 connecting rooms (1 king) in building 5 on the 1st floor, non pool view (rms 5152 & 5153 to be exact). They were great. I had requested a high floor and lake view, but this was SO convenient to the lobby/food court/transportation. The only negative thing I'd say is the king bed (DH & I took king while my DMom & 2 kiddos took the doubles w/ P&P) was not so great - had a hump in the middle just like ours at home but not as comfortable. I did go into DS's bed when the kids woke up at 5:30am
and his bed was great! I was pleased with the amount of storage and we where able to make everything fit, the P&P, the fridge, the rental stroller from Magic Strollers, and Mom's
ECV. Granted we had 2 rooms, but had it just been our family of 4 if would have been fine.
Moving right along - having the fridge was SO WONDERFUL. A HUGE thank you to accountingbabe for donating it to us!
It made life so much nicer there! All appliances and boxes are in good condition. I left a travel pack of lysol wipes (there were none), dish soap and a sponge (none) and packing tape (none) with the fridge. There are plenty of filters still and several bags of coffee. I also left an over the door organizer which I connected to the shelf above the 'closet' rod with 2 zip cable ties. I used it as my pantry. Bring some zip cable ties and you can use it too. I also left some paper cups for coffee; not sure if there'll be any left after Ms. Daisy.
I did a face to face swap with Ms. Daisy and her DH. Two very sweet people who I expect some see more regularly on the DIS!
OK, we had a great time and are so grateful for this swap and all the wonderful people involved. It is time for me to download pics and hit the couch!
