DO I need to bring a dish sponge and some dish soap so that the coffeepot can be washed? I have a small amount packed already but perhaps others didn't bring any with and we should supply some to keep everything clean?
I read this awesome tip on another board - if you will need to wash things out (coffee cups, the coffee pot, sippy cups) here a way to not need to bring a bottle of dish soap.
1. Get a dish sponge and wet it
2. add dish soap and squeeze to get some bubbles
3. Let the sponge dry with all the soap in it
4. Cut into 4 pieces and place in a zip lock bag
Now when you need to wash something you get your sponge wet and reactivate your dish soap bubbles!
***When you are finished with the swap items***Please be sure to wipe out the fridge with cleaning wipes, defrost the freezer as necessary, empty grounds form the coffee maker, wash the coffee pot and empty crumb tray on the toaster To defrost, unplug the fridge, put a towel in it and under it (don’t get the carpet wet!) and leave the door slightly open. It should defrost overnight easily or in 3-4 hours. Please wipe down the inside and outside with disinfectant wipes.
Take good care of the boxes as well it will make things a lot easier in the long run to keep the boxes intact and in good condition.
