It's been well over a month since I got home from Orlando, but I just found this board, so...
I only got to spend ONE day at Disney. It was virtually impossible for me to choose which park to go to, but one of my very good friends (and section member) had never been, so our group chose MK. I had never seen WDW decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful! My only regret is that my band (UT Pride of the Southland) didn't get the opportunity to march or play at Disney. I have to admit, I was extremely jealous of the Michigan band. It wasn't nearly as crowded as I heard it would be at this time of the year, inspite of the 2 local bowl games.
My favorite memory of the day is of one of the "infamous" singing trash cans. Being extremely proud of being Pride members, most of our group of 8 was decked out in either band shirts, or as much orange (one of UT's colors) as possible. As we were walking past Cosmic Ray's (headed for the Teacups), the roving trashcan came out of nowhere, broke out into "Rocky Top" (our unofficial fight song), and proceeded to follow us for a bit. It's one of my all time favorite WDW experiences. GO VOLS!
