Time 28.November 2007 3.December 2007
Unfortunately this was not our best trip as many not so good things happened during this trip. (I became sick, very bad weather, very crowded park on Saturday, Tendosynovitis in the right foot)
But nevertheless we had a great time and we had a lot of fun.
Everything started with our flight. The departure for our flight was at 9am in Nuremberg/Germany and at 10:30 we were circling over Paris and the weather seemed not too bad. But suddenly the captain said that we would now fly to Cologne as the weather would be too bad in Paris. At 11:30 we landed in Cologne and there we had to wait 2.5 hours until we could try to fly to Paris again. There was such a strong fog in Paris that we were not allowed to land.
And even when we landed you could almost see nothing. But the funniest thing happened when we left the airport. After 2 minutes the sky cleared up and we had (for the rest of the day) the most perfect weather, only blue sky a lot of sun and not to cold. But nevertheless our Paris day was almost ruined. At 16:00 we arrived at our hotel in Paris (instead of 12:00)
We used the rest of the day for some shopping in Paris and to see the Eiffel Tower in the dark. (That was almost as magical as seeing the Castle in the dark; but only almost)
On Thursday 29.November we caught an early RER to DLRP and at 8:30 we arrived at the hotel Sequoia Lodge. We had booked a 3 nights 4 days stay at a Montana Lake view room. We had a great view from our room. We could see ToT, BTM, HNY, HNPBC, DLH, Earfull Tower. Only the Castle was covered by a giant tree. But who cares.
At 9:30 we were in the Disneyland Park and at 10:00 we waited for rope drop at Frontierland. At this time there were only a few people in the park and so there was no big run for BTM when the lands opened. And after riding BTM there were not more people in the parks and so we were only 11 people in the elevator of Phantom Manor. I never experienced this ever before. The whole Thursday remained very quite.

Snow on Mainstreet - sooo magical
After Saloon Mickey (which we used on all four days mainly to warm-up) we went to the Studios. As the Disneyland Park was so quite, I hoped that the queue for Crush would also be very short. But Crush was closed, (and it remained closed for almost the whole Thursday) and therefore we did Armageddon and afterwards we went to the Disneyland Park again and explored the very beautiful Belles Christmas Village. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie and I think the Village fits perfectly into Fantasyland.
After this came one of my highlights of this trip. We went onto Buzz and usually my boyfriend is much better than me. But during this ride we stopped two times for some minutes. And both time I was right next to a moving Z and so I could collect points over points. At the end I had 969600!

Before we went to the hotel to ask for our room we checked if Crush would be working. And it was still closed. We waited 5 minutes in this area and suddenly it opened. And so we only had 5 minutes waiting time.
As we rode Crush the first time when it opened in June I can say that I have the feeling that they have improved the ride, especially the Current part. I have the impression that it is much darker now (compared to June) with more water effects. Although it is a very short ride it is among my favorites now.
The weather was not too bad that day until the parade started at 16:00. With the start of the parade also the rain started. And so we stood near the Castle stage and watched the parade in the rain. But did this bother us. No, I stood there with a big smile on my face and not even the rain could stop my excitement.
At 18:00 the park closed but before they kicked the quests out it was time for the Enchanted Candlebration. We only saw Candlebration in June during daylight. But in the dark this is so much better.
This was another highlight of our trip. I loved the whole thing; the Princes and Princesses, the Candlebration itself, the light up of the park, the pixie dust from Tinkerbell, and the light up of the castle. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the whole Castle light up. This was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen at DLRP. This is pure magic. No picture and no video can capture how beautiful this is, and the feelings that I had when I watched the most beautiful Disney Castle in the world with its Christmas decoration.
We ended the day with a very good buffet at the Cape Cod at the NPBC.

This were the extra sweets buffet
Friday 30.November started not so good as I had from this day on a Tendosynovitis in my right food. And so every step was joined by pain. And this for all 3 remaining Disney days. I wore a step counter on two days and on both days we made more than 20000 steps.
We started this day at the Studios with Crush. And as I red here on the board they now let people into the park. And so there is no more run for Crush every morning. At 9:45 they opened a part of the waiting line for Crush and at 10:00 they opened the ride itself.
We filled that day with many attractions, the parade at 16:00 (no rain this time) and Candlebration at 18:00. And afterwards it was time for Fantillusion. We planned this trip around Fantillusion as we saw this parade only once until now (31.DEC.2003)
We waited from 18:30 again at that little stage opposite to the Castle stage.
Fantillusion was great. This is another magical moment, when they switch off the lights in the park.
But while we waited for Fantillusion it was very cold and windy. And there I must have caught this awful cold which forced us to spend almost the whole Sunday at our hotel room.
But more on this later.
We ended the Friday with a buffet at the Hunters Grill at the Sequoia Lodge. But the buffet at the Cape Cod the other evening was much better.

ToT looked great in the dark.
