We go to Disney every year and by the end I'm usually ready to recoperate at my grandparents house for a few days from all the fun we've had. This year, I definitely needed that added on few days to rest! Although most of Disney was great, the weather fabulous, and we did have a good time - there were so many mishaps this year!! We got to the airport and at check-in the guy stamped USED on my ticket home instead of my ticket to FL. Then, he didn't give me luggage tags for all my luggage. But, he quickly fixed those probs and we were on our way - until we got to our gate. The plan before us (a 7am flight) had a leak which they were going to try to fix and eventually decided couldn't fix. So, the next flight at that gate (mine for 7:50) had to wait while they took all the luggage off that plane and moved the 7 am flight down to another gate to get on a new plane. So, we took off late. I had had a sinus infection and my cough medicine (in a plastic ziplock bag!) exploded in my suitcase making things very sticky. I ended being allergic to my antibotic. I woke-up after our first night broken out in hives! I took two of my allergy med. and prayed that I'd live until morning when I could get my hands on some Benedryl. Some guy yelled at me in Epcot saying I walked in his path with my stroller! I didn't know what he was talking about and there is no right-of way on a walking path anyhow! Then, while waiting in line to take a pic of DD on the racecar, some kid runs up and jumps in the car and his parents take a picture!! while DD had been walking over to take her turn. Then, I finally go to take the pic and two people walk in front on the shot! I lost my room key w/ charging on it at Blizzard Beach when that water keeper-outer-thing fell off my neck. I went to Guest RElations there to tell what happened and I was told "oh, no one turned it in..." Really, gee..think you could possibly call the hotel to stop the charging on it??? So, yes, she did get the card canceled but why did I have to suggest it??? WHile at an ice cream window, they were out of napkins and I leaned over to the next window with DD parked right in front of the window we were at in her stroller. By the time I lean back, someone has cut me and was ordering their ice cream and oh, asking for napkins. So I said "Gee, don't try leaning over to the other window - you might find someone has stepped over your stroller to take your place in line!" I mean what is wrong with people???? It was March and so I would say it was more adults then kids, but is it too much to ask for adults to have a little Disney spirit???? Ok, then to top it all off when I left my luggage with bell services - I got one of my suitcases back all torn up!! The manager of the hotel had to come out and deal with it and they said they would pay me for it or they could drive one out to my grandparent's house the next day - so I chose the 2nd optoin. Good-thing I wasn't flying home or I would've had one suitcase and one or two garbage bags!! I was shocked to see that my suitcase was shredded. SHe kept saying it was equipment that must've done it - but we could sort of see into the room next door and it just looked like luggage was on the floor or luggage racks and no equipment?? Whatever. I just felt like I needed a vacation to relax from my vacation! Also, my strategy is usually to go stay at the parks late b/c in the past we've been able to walk on rides by the end of the day. On ho - not this time. It was very crowded even until late, late at night and people were holding their sleeping kids wrapped in blankets on the rides at 11 pm at night! So, I may have to switch over the early nights and going to the parks early in the morning instead!

Thanks for letting me vent!!

sucks to be you.

no seriously, sounds miserable. My first trip back in 10 years a family member died and I had to come home early. People kept telling me it sucked for me and im like no, im having a better day than he is, you morons.

This is peak time at Disney, perhaps you shoild try going in a value season?

Sorry about all your mishaps, hope you managed to find a little Disney magic in all the chaos...

I'm a March to May Disney goer. I go around this time every year. It's just that this years trip had a lot of chaos. Of course I had some Disney magic. It's still a great family vacation spot and I love to go. It's this trip will not go down in the books as the best. But, I'm still a Disney girl!

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Our last trip was a comedy of errors as well--trip to ER with 2 yo with severe case of croup, lost the friends we were supposed to meet up with at MK that day for the entire day--their cell phone was off, we lost ours, our personal stroller got stolen at Philharmagic and we never did locate it, kids were crabby, husband cut his knee really badly first night at CBR pool and didn't feel like he should swim with it the rest of the week. It happens to the best of us--hopefully your next trip will be better!
