Not so great experience at Shutters...

I was just wondering if anyone had eaten at Shutters? It is in Old Port Royale. My parents and I went there for dinner Saturday we did not have a good experience at all. Our food was OK, but ended up being cold and the service was AWFUL!!! We have never had a bad experience with Disney Dining (sigh - this was our first) and I was just wondering if this was a random unlucky occurrence. Sometimes even great restaurants have bad days.

I hoping that its not an everyday occurance. We'll be at the CBR in 8 more days and we will be using the food court.

I have never heard a good review for Shutters - but the food court at CBR is awesome!! Great selection and fun themeing.

I've never been to Shutters but have friend who always stay at CBR and LOVE Shutters. They usually stay for 2 weeks or more and even though this lady really likes going to different resturants, they always eat there several times during their trip. They are always trying to get us to go over there, but we've never gone. Since we've not stayed at CBR we've not made the effort to get over there. Maybe this trip

I have to say that the food court was AWESOME!! We loved eating at the food court. We especially liked this one place called Broilers (I think). I think it is the last food court place before you get to Shutters. PLUS - my family always gets the re-fillable mugs (there are six of us so the price of drinks can add up during a week).

They had real entree's and were very reasonably priced. My mom actually made the comment that she liked her 8 dollar entree tons better at Broilers ( I really hope that was the name) than her 20 dollar entree at Shutters!

It was really crowded when we went - but it was Spring Break, there was some home and garden show, AND there was a cheerleading competition. All the rooms were sold out!! I was thinking maybe that is why we had such a bad experience at Shutters - maybe they were just overworked. It was also our first time at CBR and we did like it. The only negative thing was our dining experience at Shutters. You will have to tell me how you all like it when you go.

Six of us dined at Shutters in November 2003. The food was ok to good, and our server was wonderful. However, nothing wowed us and it was not worth the money we spent, so we have not gone back.

I agree that the food court at CBR is quite good in terms of variety and convenience.
