Waitlist just came through for Boardwalk view in November. Swapped our VGF reservation to BWV at the 7 month mark and set up the waitlist with zero expectations of it coming through. Few weeks later and we got it. Frickin sweet! No extra points for that view over the garden/pool view is a great deal. Looking forward to our first BWV stay. This concludes my useless post.

Cake Bake cake to go…. worth it….

We're doing a weekend at RIV in May, our first stay there too, and got our Cake Bake reservation ready to go. Looking forward to trying both of those for the first time.

I just can't see how a slice there is worth 3x as much as the amazing slices at Gideon's (which I can walk to from Congress Park at SSR)...

But, I am willing to try a slice... in the name of science

Compare the time it takes to walk from a Boardwalk view room down to Cake Bake to get a slice of cake and back to the Boardwalk view room to eat it vs the time it takes to do the same at Gideon’s (including wait time).

It’s a lot easier from SSR. And, if it’s a virtual wait, it’s an easy walk back

Never tried Gideon’s but Cake Bake is pretty darn good. Our most recent indulgences:

Sure, but that's not the point I was making. For someone staying at SSR, it's just as easy to go to Gideon's.

It ain't very easy to get from the Paddock to the Boardwalk, especially with the horrible parking situation over there.

Ok, but my original post was in response to someone saying they were staying in a BW view room and letting them know that Cake Bake cake to go is worth it for them to try.

I was not saying that anyone staying at SSR should come over to BW just to visit Cake Bake.

Fair play. I somehow missed that first part of it.

The main thing is, there is some great cake wherever you are (or, if you are at AKV, you can get Zebra Domes!)

Yay! that's nice! You're giving me hope because I'm waiting for my BLT waitlist to come through for Oct. I'm not even swapping resort, just a different weekend due to the hub's work schedule conflict. Will continue to wait patiently....

Just got back from a week at Universal. as an international guest flights were jammed packed. So much for no ones traveling.

Stayed onsite at Uni and defiantly made me miss staying onsite at Disney.

has there been an uptick in contracts for sale from international sellers yet ?

Sadly not. We did get invited by hotel with some guaranteed tickets for Hotel previews but unfortunately left before they started.

We have tickets for the summer mind you.
