My DS had this problem in his freshman year of HS, which was this past year. He studies a lot and does well but many of the students who goofed off all year were able to do better than he did because of cheating. The teachers never noticed or chose to ignore it. He didn't say anything since he knew the teachers wouldn't take his side since it was one against many. I keep telling him to continue studying and do his best. In the end, when these kids are out of school, they won't go too far in life!

I didn't want to tell the teacher because I thought it would make me look like a tattle-tale but she was happy I did :goodvibes

When she asked me if I wanted the answers I said..."No thank you I'll use my brain for this one"...you should have seen her face :lmao: I never understand why people cheat...it drives me nuts :confused3

It's their problem and it will be for always! You will succeed:thumbsup2 while they will struggle in life after school.

Don't know if any of your are caught up in Webkinz,
but when we were buying one for DD12's party, she wanted to get an animal and a charm .... they are NOT making the charms right now......LEAD...:scared1: ...
YIKES! When I think about how many they had made, and that the girls wear a dozen or so at once on their arms and necks. It is probalby that they are not to be put in mouths, but necklaces on little girls usually do get nibbled on..........:confused3

:scared1: The kids I babysit have them...I'm watching them tonight so I will make sure to let them know :thumbsup2

At the Pin Traders shop there is a Disney Visa card holder pin...we need to know if this is free or if you pay for it :thumbsup2 Thank you so much :flower3:

Where exactly is the Pin traders shop?:confused3 I remember going to a place that sold pins, and right by that was an area the people where had pins to trade.

DD12 is at a swimming party (birthday) right now.
We had to stop and buy a present at the Webkinz store, (which is like a Hallmark store) and there were key rings by the register with cute sayings.
The first one I saw was "Families are like Fudge, Sweet with few Nuts"
Funny, esp. since Hara mentioned it yesterday!

That's funny. I had never seen that before a few days ago.

I never ignore this!
I teach fourth graders, so cheating is not life and death, here,
but the lesson that it is NEVER acceptable needs to be learned.
Cheating is human nature, but so are consequences.
I do not think you can ignore it. (it is usually noticeable!)
I did have a battle with one mother who insisted it was not her daughter's fault......and daughter didn't deserve a "0" on the paper. Wonder whose fault it was????

Today the was40 house smells delicious once again.
It was the day to bake the friendship bread.
You get three more starter mixes to give away.
DD9 gave one to her friend while our bread was baking.
She is begging to keep one AGAIN for us.
Might have to, she has eaten a WHOLE row of the cake already, by herself!

That sounds so good. I think I smell it right now!

Now you get to visit the Pin Traders shop!
Thanks i:lovestruc if you make it there.
If not, we will survive........dont stress if you don't get there!

It was priceless...I can't wait to see her face tomorrow when the teacher tells her she "lost her test" and has to take it over...that will make her think twice about cheating ::yes::

She's in for a not so pleasant surprise!

It is a little shop near Goofy's Candy CO., Mickey's Pantry, and Once Upon a Toy (I looked at my old map from November for this info) You kind of just walk up to it (there are no doors)

Let's go with "witty"
You had a witty response right away.

I can THINK up witty replies, after I am home and stewing over it!:cool1:

Oh, was40, I have the same problem. Witty I am not. That's DH's department.

See, there's another problem!
She shouldn't have "gotten away with it" and you doing the right thing shouldn't make you feel bad. She was wrong, tattle or not! We need more people willing to do the right thing (tell!).

Hi HARASW! Nice to see you too. How are you doing?

I'm fine thanks. Did lots of cooking and cleaning today. I wish I could get more done at once but I always get interrupted with taking and picking up DS and taking breaks since my feet are killing me from all of that standing.
And how are you doing?
I am getting so excited for you for your trip!

I am glad I told because I worked hard to get a 100 on the test and she didn't even read the questions

Good. I know I can't wait! :woohoo:

Last night DH was texting a friend on the phone .... he was saying how witty you can be with texting, things you text can be very amusing where as talking doesn't have the same impact....

I said "that is just like posting with my random friends!"

He was like "oh" (like, now I get why you love to check in with them anytime you have a minute!)

(let's still not tell him how MANY posts I rack up a day!:rolleyes1 )
