Not New to Disney but new to GG

OK just so we are clear i've been a disney fan for a long time. Work there for some months back in my college days had 2 trips there one cruise and one month long vacation now we are planning a GG for this summer with the inlaws this will be something new but I always wanted to try it. One grandmother(um just say she in the 50's but is 40 ok) meand hubby (20's) Cousin hubby's(late 20's) my 2 kids(4-2) lil bro(17) and cousin's lil girl(1). Have any advice on what to do and where to stay cause I prefer to stay at POP for the money its cheaper to stay there. How does this GG thing work exactly
