Not New To DCL But A Lot More To Learn

Hello,

I am new to the DISboards and there is definitely a lot to learn and there seems to be many with a lot of knowledge.

My husband and I will be going on our 3rd cruise with DLC in September 2016 leaving out of Barcelona (Mediterranean Cruise). I would love to hear from others who have done this itinerary before and have any tips to give; especially in regards to excursions.

Also, how does upgrading your cabin room work? Is it less expensive to do it on board the ship?

Any tips and info will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

To upgrade your room, you do that after you've checked in in the terminal (before boarding). After checking in you go to the supervisor's desk and ask if there are any rooms available for upgrading to. Yes, if there are upgrades available, it's cheaper than if you were to upgrade your room just one day prior.
