I rang Disney UK for my US reservation no. yesterday but she would'nt give me it, asked for guest services but she put me through to Disney dining, who answered straight away & gave me the number. So all set to ring at 12.00 today or so I thought... Got up & ds who has been unwell this week felt worse & a trip to the doctors meant we did'nt get back untill 12.10, dashed to save the washing from the rain, then could'nt find the 1p per minute number, quick search on internet (had it all along, but had gone into panic mode) then finally rang Disney & was advised of an 11 minute wait, then the music came on & I could hardly hear it, after 5 minutes I put the phone down & re dialled this time I was told over 30 minutes to wait. After 25 minutes I was through & all set. I only got 3 of my planned adr's & then at a different time, because of this I ended up taking things at different restaurants & different times & our planning will have to be re done. The worse is I couldn't get Cali Grill for our anniversary, even though it's at the back end of our +10, tried other dates but there were all fully booked. Felt exhausted by the time I came of the phone & now need to make so many changes & will need to ring back & cancel some as there are not what I want. Sorry to go on but it as made me feel better to get it off my chest. I have done the DDP twice (Aug & May) & never had any problems before.

bloody hell, that's not good! Sorry to hear you couldn't get California Grill for you anniversary!

I've never had trouble making adr's before, but all this talk lately has made a bit worried for when I get to call (in less than 2 weeks now!) :scared:

It seems to be harder now that they have put it down to 90 days. Sorry to hear you didn't get what you wanted. Hope your son is ok.

Thanks guys. Stephen is okay, when I put the phone down I felt so upset & he said to me "it does'nt matter mam, as long as we are all together". This made me cry. We were not suppose to be going intill next year, so I just think about how lucky we are to be going & just eat where we can.

Do your dates clash with the free dining??? I am beginning to get worried about our trip next year as there will be 5 of us and during July when the US are all on their holidays, but no free dining. The only thing I can think of is that during the free dining times ADRs must be harder to get.

Anyone know if this has proven the case the last couple of years when this has been offered.

I went last year around this time and I managed to get all of mine. However we only really had Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern and Rose and Crown out of the main places last year, I think its a combination of the fact that its now also 90.

I think it depends where you want and how lucky you are getting through. Next year I want to get places like Le Cellier so hope that I can get these it seems mixed responses so far from what Ive seen I think you have to be flexible with times and it can make it easier.

I am starting to worry about mine, I can't book them until 24th June hope its easier for 1 person to get a booking.

:scared1::eek:

We booked our ADR's last weekend.
Had to do a fair bit of jigging around - our only shock was that we failed to get Fantasmic dinner package on one of our days (had aimed for 2), but lucky to get for our last night. Have to look on bright side at least we get to try Sci-Fi Diner!
I would agree though, that it has been a lot harder this year. Best to have two or three options in your head and then pray for a sprinkling of pixie dust!

We are going this August and i must have been lucky, only been once before and never made ADRS but this year we have booked the DDP. We got everything we wanted give or take 15-30 min here or there and had all our adrs booked in 15 min.

Sorry to hear you didn't get Cali Grill for your anniversary. It must be frustrating having to change you plan.
Sometimes it can be nice surprise to try somewhere you hadn't planned on going to :goodvibes
Hope your not to disappointed.

Yes, It is free dining, but last year it was too. I think it's like Jackie said due to the 90 days. Maybe 180 days is too far in advance for people to get oganised. Last year A quick call & got everything I wanted.

I'm so sorry Sharon that you didn't get what you wanted, you must be really disappointed. Your son sounds so lovely though, what a thoughtful thing for a little one to say
Don't forget though that lots of adr's get cancelled,so keep ringing up for the Cali, you might just get in pixiedust:

Thanks everyone. I am pretty cut up about the Cali grill as it would have been our first time there, last year we went to Coral Reef & they did us a special menu & diver message, which was wonderful. I did panic a lot because I was'nt able to get most of the main ones & one night went through 3 choices before getting R & C, not a particular favourite of ours but DS likes it. We could'nt get early morning breakfast at CP or Tusker house, this was for ds's birthday, which we did last year. We did though get CRT, Sci fi (although very early) & Fantasmic MM for 27/8 because she said I could'nt book 30/8 yet.

Sorry to hear about your experience Sharon. As we are off-site I had to phone each day when we hit the 90 day mark.

I phoned most days at 3.30 - 4.30 pm and only ever waited 3/4 minutes before getting a CM :thumbsup2

Thanks, I'm just about to call back as she did'nt let me book the last of our + 10 days, hopefully it will be a good time.

For your anniversary try dead on the 90 days as I am sure they hold back some times for off site diners.

Claire ;)

Just rang back & was able to book for 30 Aug this time. So I was able to get what I had originally wanted on the first Sunday on the second Sunday & keep the Fantasmic package that I booked. Also was able to get CP on first day afterall. I booked Nacoosies (bad spelling) for anniversary dinner as found that has a firework view as well. Thanks for all you good wishes, I feel a lot better now.
