Not Meeting Room Block

Has anyone ever not been able to meet your room block? What happened? Does anyone know if Disney really charges you for all the rooms left? I'm getting worried because it seems everyone I know wants to stay off property (many timeshare owners.) and I'm getting really nervous about having to pay extra!

We didnt meet ours (way to many locals) but we came close...we didn’t get charged for anything...Planner said don’t worry about it….That was May 06 don’t know if things have changed

Wasn't an issue for us, as we had about 3 X the rooms we needed, but I have heard that they are pretty adament now days. I would just talk to your coordinator about your concerns. I don't know of many places you can stay for less than at the All Star Resorts, and then you get all the perks of staying on property. Personally, we never stay off property. It's not worth it !

Talk to your wedding planner, they can lower the amount of rooms in your roomblock. My wedding coordinator told me to guarentee the minimum 25 nights and then if I need to add more she can at anytime. She also offered to lower the amount if I wanted, to as little as 10 rooms
