Um,
I do a number of milesource accounts for people in my family (shhh. lol) and I noticed that two of my accounts had some extra points added to the miscellaneous column dated yesterday.
My personal account got 13500 and another one got 9000. I know the trivia bonus is not this much. I didn't sign up for anything. Is this a freak of the system??
What is *not* cool about this is I can't redeem for giftcertificates at this time, and I don't really want anything else. Hopefully they'll stay in my accounts until something I'm interested comes along!

I also do a couple of Milesource accounts for my family. I received 9000 points yesterday on my daughters account. I have no idea why this happened. Hope it stays there.

I read on another board that there is a dispute between Milesource and GiveAnything.com. Therefore, Milesource is reimbursing the pending redemptions you've made to GiveAnything.com.

I redeemed 3500 awardmiles for a $25 gc at GiveAnything.com on 8/9/03. Yet last night, I've received 5250 awardmiles from Milesource in the Misc. section. I believe Milesource is basing this reimbursement amount to be "almost" the same "value" as your GiveAnything.com redemption. That way if you want to redeem through Milesource Award Center (which I personally think is a rip off), you have another option.

I really, REALLY wish they would bring back giftcertificates.com as one of their redemption partners. That place is AWESOME!!

Well now a $50 GC is 9000 pts, hope that changes. I do have some GC outstanding. They could have at least sent out emails explaining this.

I received 5250 Milesource miles the other day too. I questioned them and they confirmed that they were reimbursing the Miles from a previous redemption and adding 1750 for my inconvenience. However, I had already received my Giveanything.com certificate by e-mail and spent it on a t-shirt from Nick.com because the Giveanything.com site was not working properly and it was the only site that had anything I even remotely wanted. I feel kind of guilty for keeping the points, but I tried to tell them that I had no idea why they gave them back to me.

I got an e-mail from milesource apologizing for the problems we have been having with gift certificate redemptions. DH had redeemed 3500 points in June, and we never even got the certificate number. He suddenly had 11,000 points in his account, so he quickly redeemed 9000 for a $50 cert. I had tried a month ago to redeem 3500 points for a gift cert, and had also received nothing. I now have over 6000 points in my account, so i quickly redeemed 5000 for a $25 gift cert. We'll see if they arrive. I had planned to quit milesource once these redemptions went through, but their e-mail said they were changing to a system similar to mypoints, with e-mails that you click on, etc.
