not in the holiday mood

I dunno, I put the blowups and lights up outside this past week before the cold hit so I don't have to freeze, and we were looking at artificial trees over the weekend. But it just hasn't hit me yet, that magical moment in time when I think AHHHH I LOVE THIS HOLIDAY. right now I guess the upcoming flight is still looming over me, maybe when I get back home. Lets hope.

I am not in the mood yet. We are leaving on Friday for a Thanksgiving trip up north. We are stopping in Ohio to see my family this weekend and then on to New York to see his family for the actual holiday. I am excited to see my family but not sure about his. I have only met them once, it was his sisters wedding and no one really paid attention to me. They all say they love me but I really think that they love that I am not his ex-wife.
I started shopping but the only one I have gotten anything for is my son. We have already spent somewhere are $350 on him. We bought him an xbox so that was a small forturne then we needed games. But that is all we have for him. Boyfriend keeps looking at rock band sets for the 360. That is at least another $169! I wanted to be a little more budget conscience this year and boyfriend is not helping!

I watched White Christmas last night. That always gets me in the mood. My goal today (which I am obviously not doing ) is to rake the leaves so we are ready for lights next weekend. We go out of town for Thanksgiving so I like to have everything out ready to plug in when we get home.

Not going home for Thanksgiving

My niece is getting married on Dec 20th. We are so busy planning, shopping, fitting for that- I can't even think about Christmas (plus the wedding is costing us around $2000)

I did buy a few things for my girls this weekend, but still NOT in the mood.
