OKW is really nice, along with SSR. Do you have to be in the DVC to get a studio?

No, you can rent a studio and pay cash for it, just like any other room in the Disney resort inventory. A certain number of rooms are usually available for cash reservations. Enjoy!!!!

You can also rent a reservation from a DVC member -- also known as "renting points." Check the DVC Rent/Trade Board.

Read the FAQ and "A Word to the Wise" first, and then come back here with any questions you may have. You can click on the DVC Point Charts at the top of this page to compute how many points you would need for a particular reservation.

If you decide to rent points, post that request on the Rent/Trade board. Be as specific as you can with regard to resort, type of accommodation, and dates. Vague posts will probably not get very good results.

Several years ago we were offered a studio at OKW through CRO (back in our pre-DVC days) at a manager's upsell rate at that! We were making ressies only a few weeks ahead, spontaneous trip, and can you believe we chose POFQ instead? One of our more stupid choices, not choosing the OKW studio.
